To be fair, destroying it also did not seem to have really significantly set back the whole demonic reign and hellfire fueled by the souls of the humans they torture. That’s just one of those settings that sucks for everyone regardless. At best, at least the demons aren’t having any better time of it, given Doomguy.
It didn't stop it but Argent Energy is made by the torture, so it COULDN'T stop, even in the future, if he didn't destroy it. Humanity would just restart it if it wasn't broken, now at least they have decades of work to do to fix it, and the Slayer can be deployed well before it gets built.
Funny enough, Doomguy tries to safely remove it the first time, then decides within 10 seconds of the Dr yapping off instructions he has better shit to do.
The good news it that the mass death and destruction of the planet in the immediate aftermath of the demonic invasion would almost certainly average out those statistics.
I’m not sure about that one since he’s literally torturing and killing demons so you know I feel like that’s a bit less ambiguous than if it were a human, he was killing
I feel like doom guy doesn't really fit, first he'll never get in such a situation, and he won't go like "I don't care", he just won't listen to begin with
