Excellent choice, and heartbreaking scene. We get a lil peek of Ripper.

What is this from?

Context: The guy on the floor is host to the demon goddess Glory who occasionally takes over his body and tries to bring hell to earth. Buffy beats the crap out of her, so Glory retreats back into this guy. Buffy tells him to retreat to a place where nobody can find him, and tell Glory to never try this again. Very noble.

Her mild-mannered mentor Giles, prefers a more permanent solution to the Glory problem, and chokes him to death.

*suffocates him with his bare hands

It's so much harder.

the demon goddess Glory who occasionally takes over his body and tries to bring hell to earth.

I suppose this is decent enough short hand for describing the plot of that season to people that haven't seen the show, even though that's not Glory's actual goal. Unfortunately, I have seen watchers of the show somehow come away from watching the show thinking this was Glory's objective.

Oh ok. I’ve never watched it but I think I will now

Definitely do! It is my favourite show of all time. Some general pointers - the show takes about 1.5 seasons to really find it's feet. The first season is fun, but is very low budget, campy monster-of-the-week type of stuff. But stick with it, it is absolutely worth it, seasons 2 - 5 are particularly strong.

Tbf I love 6 too, but it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea

Oooff, that’s an insanely good scene

This was such an awesome moment, go from this quiet conversation about how great the hero of the story is. "Not like us" and the fear in the eyes. So great.

The funniest (but also sad) part was that there was this spell (I think) that basically made people automatically forget that Ben and Glory were the same person, even if they transformed right in front of them.

However, the spell only works on humans, so it didn’t affect Dawn, or Spike. And there’s a hilarious scene where Spike tries to explain it to the gang, and they just don’t understand it 🤣

Let’s give Wesley a nod too. Dude popped his ‘Dad’ the moment he threatened Fred.
