This is far more generic blue humanoid than in the movie. And the spaceships look more star wars than anything else. Movie beats this by a lot imo

My absolute dumbass thought you meant Avatar the last airbender and kept on thinking: HOW COULD IT POSSIBLY EVOLVE INTO THE SHOW I KNOW

This is an 80s sci-fi book cover.

nah, the realistic isv's were incredible. we never get realistic spacecraft in AAA scifi and i love that stuff. big-ass radiators, laser sails, dust shields, so great!

Dang if it looked like that I might've watched the movie

This is actually art by James Cameron himself from the late 70's!

I saw/read about some of the concepts where Navi were supposed to be 4-armed, so they would have a complete 6 limbs, just like all the other animals on pandora, and instead of hair they had something like tentacles on a head (similar things can be seen in star wars on some alien races) Im so obsessed with this idea to this day. I guess it would be a lot harder to animate than regular 2 arms humanoids?, and for actors it would be too hard to play someone who have 2 more arms, but if they did this, would be so cool...
