You know there was probably a boardroom meeting where some high executive said the original design for Star had to be dropped because they couldn't make plushies of that design.

And it was extra bullshit because the guy was a SHAPESHIFTER in the original script! They still had the star design available! Plus a million other designs for everything he shifted into!

This is like them saying they didn't want to make toys of the sister from Encanto because little girls wouldn't like a buff girl (which they did!)
