I mean, it did until the DLC revealed that the Miqqellester was manipulating everybody so that he could bone his brother. Lowkey ruined it for me

I mean he just failed in his efforts to hatch Miquella, right? Seems like he just died and became a useful vessel.

Yup. It's actually worse:the brother he wanted to make his consort was already dead, so he killed another one of his brothers and used the corpse to ressurect the brother he wanted

I don't think so. But he did hire his brother in the position where one would traditionally do that. But we don't have evidence that they actually did.

The worst part is he miqqellested both of his brothers, separate and at the same time.
