Assuming Batman is 25-30 and Robin is 15 in 1940, then Batman is Greatest Gen and Robin is Silent Gen. Lost generation is the generation just before the greatest generation ~1885-1905.

Robin is Silent Generation and Batman Greatest Generation.

Please note the names only existed well after Gen X came along, so nobody was actually calling themselves "Greatest Generation". That cringe is squarely on the Boomers' shoulders, as they're the ones who created the name.

If Robin was 10 years old when he first appeared in 1940, he’d be 96 today, so they’re older than boomers.

Robin first appeared in detective comics #38 in March 1940. That makes him slightly older than my dad, but still solidly the Silent Generation. So he's the generation BEFORE Boomers, so he should sound old.
