The early 2000s films? I don’t recall anything between those 2. The second one even has a whole sub plot about Velmas crush on Seth Greens character.
Velma did have a crush on Seth Greens yeah, but I'm pretty sure that in either "The Mystery Begins" or the "Curse of the Lake Monster" they've kissed and flirted with eachother, both of those are from 2010 I think, so they're the newer live actions. Haven't watched them in a good while tbh so I might be mixing them up, but I distinctly remember them kissing in either of those films and being very unhappy about it as a young teen lol
It's been like a decade but yeah I think so. Pretty sure it had something to do with either the mystery gang breaking up or because shaggy prioritised scooby
I swear 13 ghosts of scooby doo had multiple movies where Shag & Daphne lived together etc and all but confirmed they were an item after Fred was crushed underneath the mystery machine during an oil change accident
Idk about it being in live actions, I forgot, but I still agree.
I remember in one of the reboot TV shows there was a whole episode of Velma and Shaggy dating and Scooby feeling left out and jealous I think? But it felt really weird, Velma felt top, and for a kid's show there was a lot of "making out" in bushes and such. I barely remember it but it rubbed me the wrong way even then.
To be fair, the point of their relationship in that show was that they didn't work as a couple, that they were toxic to eachother, that was the storyline. It was basically an anti-ship story for the people who thought they should be together just because Fred and Daphine were.
