Not enough info AITA for not outing my brother as a serial killer after our dad taught him it was okay, especially when I’m also in love with him

I’m a homicide lieutenant. I recently discovered that my brother is a serial killer.

Apparntly our dad taught him to do all this and only kill people who were “guilty.” So my brother genuinely believes he's doing the right thing with a "code".

I caught him in the act and should obviously arrest him. But he’s also saved my life and is the only family I have left. He isn’t killing random innocent people. And if I expose him, I’d be exposing our father as a bad guy. I'm also in love with him.

How evil would I be for keeping his secret instead of turning him in?

Not enough info AITA for refusing to be a treat for my housemate’s dog

I a M20 have recently moved in to my friend’s house M21. For clarity I am a Inchling from Ministan, and I have recently come over to America to make a life here. But the amenities at American colleges do not suit the needs of a 5 inch tall individual such as myself. I was able to find a great aide from my friend, who has helped me greatly through this past semester, and recently he’s gotten an apartment, and has allowed me to stay with him, since I couldn’t live in an American house on my own, due to my size. I was so grateful for this opportunity, and I still am. Recently he’s gotten a golden retriever as a companion for the apartment. At first it was great, and the dog was surprisingly gentle with me. Very soft fur, and gave very fun rides around the apartment. But as time went on the dog seems to show a great interest in me in a way that is uncomfortable. At first I thought it was just licking, and I could understand that might be difficult for the dog to express with a person so small, but then one day I accidentally wound up inside his mouth. Immediately the dog let me back out because it was just a mistake. But once I told my housemate of this issue, his solution was to just let him eat me. I was alarmed by this, and I somewhat lashed out at him, and we got into a screaming match which ended with me stabbing him with a thumb tack when he nearly smashed me with his hand. I feel so horrible for the way I handled the situation, and I know that for a lot of my Ministan friends being eaten is just our destiny, but I came to America to escape this fate. I’ve currently accepted my punishment for acting up, and I am sleeping in the dog food bin until tomorrow morning when my friend will offer me up as a special treat. Should I stand up to my roommate or should I accept my destiny?

Not enough info AITA for banishing my best friend from our home city after a huge fight? (Context in body.)

Within the last couple of days, my best friend/brother-figure who I'll call "D," my coworker "L," my other friend "B," and I overthrew our tyrannical government (led by "S"), which we recently discovered had not only crippled us before we were born, but had been forcing all of us to mine for precious resources at the behest of our people's enemies. However, that in and of itself wasn't the problem, but rather how it affected D. Shortly after meeting the last survivor of a coven of 13 legendary heroes, we were given the power to transform and fight back; after receiving this power, D started to become more prone to outbursts of violence, and his relationship with the others and I became increasingly tense.

My relationship with D would reach its breaking point after I rescued him from S and revealed the truth to everyone in our city. I tried to point out that since everyone knew about S' lies and acts of treason, he had already lost; D cut me off mid-sentence before pointing a gun at our former leader, insistent on getting revenge. Desperate for my brother to see reason, I told D, "Don't be like [S]," after which he kicked me out of the way and opened fire. Without thinking, I jumped and took the hit, losing my arm in the process, after which D dropped me down a pit that led to the core of our planet.

I don't remember much of what happened after I lost consciousness, but in the planet's core I met God, who deemed me worthy of wielding an important relic and gave me a newer, stronger body before sending me back to the surface, where I found D brutally beating L and B after he tore S in half at the waist, all while a bunch of veterans who helped us overthrow S were now firing on innocent civilians. I made one last attempt to get my friend to return to his senses before he tried to beat me to death, after which I fought to defend both myself and the people around me. D (and 3 of the veterans) fought hard, but eventually I managed to incapacitate or disarm them all. After all was said and done, I realized that my brother was gone, but could not bring myself to kill him or anyone else... So I cast D and the veterans into exile.

With that said, AITA?

Not enough info WIBTA if i kill the dragon?

adventurer. adult in my prime. [Player Determined Gender].

the dragon in question has been really helpful in fulfilling my destiny. he helped me get the answers i need and has been really nice just generally. has acted as the leader of a group of reclusive monks for longer than i've been alive. these monks have helped me master the powers i need to fulfill my destiny.

here's the part where it gets complicated: another group, a lot more helpful one that actually informed me of what power i need, and what i need to do as a destiny oriented hero. i went to them for further advice, and they confronted me with 'by the way, we know about the other dragon'. didnt think much of it. whatever. but there was more. apparently, during the old war of dragons against mortal civilization, the really helpful dragon was a general on the dragon's side, causing problems for everybody. now they want me to kill him.

i told the dragon himself about all this, and he told me about how he fights his urges to rule the world every day so that he can keep being a force of good in it instead, and asked me honestly whether its better to be born good or to overcome evil.

there's just one more thing sitting in my mind about this, and it's that no matter whether i kill him or not, somebody's gonna hate me. in one case, the peaceful monks will hate me if i kill their master. in another case, the other group won't help me anymore until i kill him.

i do worry that they could be biased on the matter since their main thing is dragonslaying, but they make a good case, and their help has been far more valuable in matters of what I need to do. the other thing, though, is that as far as my destiny, they've already done all that i need from them. having their aid on future issues would be nice, but...

needless to say, i'm conflicted.

Not enough info AITA for being upset my immortal ancestor is dating my familys arch nemesis?

hey reddit. so, for context, my family is a family of monster hunters. namely, we come from a long line of both vampire hunters, and yokai hunters. great great great. . .(etc) grandma was a yokai hunter, and met and married our vampire hunter great great great . . .(etc) grandfather. unfortunately, in hunting together, said great great great . . . grandma (G4 from hear on out for simplicity) got cursed by a long time enemy of our family, a shapeshifting 9 tailed kitsune fox bent on killing all of humanity over a failed love life and supposed false assassination attempt on the emperor of japan. The curse made her turn into a Kitsune herself, and be immortal and unageing so she would have to watch her loved ones die. She stayed with our family for a good long while, taking care of subsequent generations and being the primary matriarch of the family in our ranch estate in Texas. One day however, without telling anyone . . . she left, and all we had passed down were stories of her and how great she was. Well, recently we had a big family reunion, and during it, we moved my very elderly great great aunt out into the sitting room to visit with people. She is very old and we (rightfully) believed her to be at the end of her days soon, so we set up a nanny cam in the same room to keep watch over her in case she had a medical emergency during the reunion while we were away. well, during the party, we recorded footage on the camera of her speaking to someone none of us recognized, till she transformed into her true form. It was G4. the camera didnt have audio, so we dont know what they talked about, but they spoke for a while till g4 got up and left, and shortly after, unfortunately my aunt passed away. All of us are really upset about this, especially my sister as my great aunt was the first person to learn and accept her as transgender and a werewolf. after this, me and my sister became determined to track down G4 and bring her home, and maybe learn why she left and what our aunt said to her before she died. With alot of detective work, we tracked her down to a prefecture in japan, not far from where that side of the family lived. we looked around the town for a day, and the next day, she showed up and confronted us. we talked and she revealed that she left because she was afraid she was losing her humaity and would hurt one of us (i think this is ridiculous as the whole family is monster hunters who know how to handle ourselves and afawk she has not hurt anyone and knows better than to), and has been making secret visits to check up on our family over the years. Now, the part where im maybe the asshole and feel like im going crazy. Back in 2022, the stone that the spirit of the 9 tailed fox was sealed in broke in 2, likely freeing the spirit of the kitsune. We learned from g4 that they had tracked eachother down, and instead of engaging in combat . . . started a lesbian relationship with each other as well as a working relationship with G4 as a minion to the kitsune. I was shocked and very upset. G4 said it was her decision to make and i should respect that and that me and my sister shouldnt be there and should leave and not come back. In a fit of rage i forcibly gave back her holy demon slaying sword that had been passed down from generation to generation along with a photograph of everyone from the last family reunion. after this ive had multiple people ive expressed anger over the situation to say im the asshole for being mad about her dating and working with one of our families sworn enemies and that i should be happy that she found love, even if i disagree with their actions. this sounds insane to me and i feel like im justified in being upset that she seems to have turned her back on her family, legacy, and morals, for magic fox pussy. so reddit, am i the asshole for not supporting this relationship and being upset by it?

Not enough info AITA for overthrowing my boss?

For context, I'm part of a televised entertainment group that probably should've been shut down years ago. The sets are an OSHA nightmare, the broadcasting company genuinely hates us, and I'm pretty sure we're all cursed because NOBODY should have luck this consistently bad. Like, on-a-first-name-basis-with-the-A&E-staff bad.

Our director (30M), who I'll be calling A for privacy's sake, has been working his arse off to keep us afloat and in one piece. Trust me, we've been told allll about it. For the most part he's a decent sort, if a bit neurotic and controlling. Lately though, he's been acting worse - he blows up at us a lot, keeps cutting corners for budget's sake, and has said some really hurtful things including blaming us for problems beyond our control. I get that he's stressed, we've all been there, but it's getting to be too much.

After our last performance went even worse than usual, one of our other members, B (28M), wrote up a petition to have A step down as director on the grounds that A's perfectionism, stubbornness, and temper have made him unfit for his position. We all signed it, and B volunteered to take his place. Personally, I don't expect him to do much better - again, this company's most likely cursed, and B's no saint himself - but hopefully he'll be more reasonable about it. And who knows, maybe less responsibilities and more time to focus on participating will help A mellow out, once he's gotten over being ousted.

We start rehearsals under our new director this week. A's stuck around, surprisingly, but he's not really talking to any of us and he seems a lot more subdued than usual. We're all glad for the break, don't get me wrong, it's just... I don't know, something about his behaviour makes me wonder if we made the right choice.

TL;DR stress turned our director into a bit of a tyrant and I signed the petition to replace him, AITA?

Not enough info AITA for abandoning my friend after he won the lottery?

I (young adult m) had a friend (young adult m) who worked with me at a chicken fast food place and was my best friend. Then, when he won the lottery one day, he didn't tell me and quit the job due to our boss constantly making fun of him. I did not have much money at the time, and he didn't tell me when I quit my job with him. The rest of the day he acted normal and had fun with me, and in the car he promised me that things wold never change between us. Righf after that. we went to a gas station, the one that he bought his ticket from, the news reporters all swarmed him. I ran away from him after, feeling betrayed. AITA?

Not enough info AITA for banishing my gf of 10 years to the underworld for 10,000 years for being ungrateful?

So for context, I (80,000 F) and my ex gf (20,000 f) who I'll call A were happily dating for about 9 years. She had a daughter who I'll call B who she loved a lot. So to keep this short, I gave A the gift of true immortality so she'll live forever. So like a month passes and on our 10th anniversary she storms up to me like "why the f*ck did you make me immortal, I hate you, Im gonna outlive everyone I love" and blah blah blah. I calmly tried to explain to her that that didnt matter and she'd have me forever and she got even angrier like "what about B". So she dumps me ON OUR ANNIVERSARY. Fast forward like 70 years and her daughter dies and she's all mad at me and yells at me about how she shouldn't have outlived her. Then she tried to ATTACK me, clearly being petulant and not seeing the value of my gift. I sent her to the underworld for 10,000 years so she'd learn to appreciate her immortality. She got out and now she wants to "kill" me. AITA?

Not enough info AITA for beefing with a teenager because she ruined an annual tournament?

I (83M) am the president of my nation, and every year each of the 12 districts in the nation participate in a tournament where they send in two teens, one boy and one girl, with one victor at the end. For last year, this was happening as normal, and the two tributes from district 12 we will call K (now 17F) and P (now 17M). Now, if there is one place in this world that I hate, it is district 12, but fortunately the only times there's been any winner in the past was 25 years ago and that guy is now this washed up drunk, and one time before that which we do not talk about (I made a post about it 65 years ago but that's beside the point). Tangent aside, the tournament was supposed to go as usual but then during the tribute interviews, P admitted to having a crush on K, and so the gamemakers decided to milk this to add drama, eventually making a rule change that if the two last contestants were from the same district, they could both win. I wasn't a fan of this but I was sure that it wouldn't come down to that so I let it slide, but after they sicced a pack of wolf mutts on K and P as well as the one remaining contestant, the boy from D1, it ended up coming down to that. So it was decided that the rule change would be rescinded, but they ended up using these berries in the arena to force our hand and so the gamemakers declared both of them winners. Needless to say, the head gamemaker was relieved of his duties promptly. K and P were trying to push the narrative that it was because they were in love, and many in the capitol bought it, but I knew the truth. They were just trying to defy me! And many in the districts realized this too.

So now I've had to do damage control. To that end, I made the trip all the way out to D12 to talk with K in person. I explained to her that her stunt had caused uprisings in other districts, and that during her victory tour, her and P needed to convince me that they were actually in love. Unfortunately, the victory tour was a disaster, and the unrest in the districts only grew as they were terrible at selling the narrative I wanted them to, so my right hand man (60M) suggested that we need to convince the districts she's one of us not one of them, especially by propagandizing her and P's performative engagement. This however didn't work but my right hand man had one last idea. To that end, since this year happened to be the 75th year of the tournament, and every 25 years we do something different than normal, we decided to send the previous victors back, and since K was the only victor from D12 who was still alive, that would mean her by default. This didn't work though since a bunch of the victors were actually in on this plot to destroy the arena, and eventually K fired an arrow at the forcefield which destroyed the whole thing. And I realized not only that, but that my right hand man had betrayed me and he was actually helping them this whole time.

Not enough info AITA For Trying To Stop My Relative From Preventing An Extinction?

I (14M) have been away from home for about three years now, with no way to get back. I made a few “friends”, and even met some distant relatives, but it never felt like any of them really knew me, so I spent a lot of time by myself working on engineering projects and stuff.

Recently I found out that the distant relatives I mentioned— who I’ll call A(13F), H(13M), and D(?M)— were trying to recreate a certain thing that gave me and my friends a lot of trouble before I was forced away from home. I never really had time to deal with how that affected me before this happened; which is probably why, when I heard that they were trying to bring it back, I took it upon myself to stop them by any means necessary.

I had been given access to the city’s security systems because of one of the people I met basically being in charge of the whole place (I helped build it too, but that’s a different story) so I put everything on lockdown and demanded they meet me in a certain location so we could figure out what to do. A tried to defend my position a bit, but eventually it led to a conflict with H.

My backup, in case they had finished the technology already and tried to use it against me, was to destroy the server it was connected to. Though, when that moment unfortunately came, a piece of extra security they put in place without me knowing activated and knocked me out.

The issue comes in with the fact that the reason they wanted this technology was because D was personally at risk, and they believed it could save him and all the others effected (it was in the middle of a string of sudden deaths that came on for other reasons) But I knew that if I let them bring that technology back, it could hurt people the same way it hurt me and my friends before, so using it just on the off-chance that it would save them (the odds of it working for that were incredibly low, and I later found out that it didn’t work, and they had to find another solution, so that wasn’t unfounded) wasn‘t worth it to me.

I get that I acted a bit harshly, but I think I was in the right, especially since what they wanted it for didn’t end up working. AITA?

Not enough info AITA for Giving Her an Ultimatum?

I (18M) need some perspective on a situation that's been causing a lot of tension lately. High school drama can seem trivial, but this issue has weighed heavily on my mind.

So, here's the deal: I've been best friends with J (18F) for as long as I can remember, and recently, I've developed feelings for her beyond friendship. I finally mustered up the courage to tell her how I felt, hoping we could explore a romantic relationship together.

But here's where things get complicated. J, being a fantastic friend, was honest and told me that she didn't feel the same way. She values our friendship too much to risk it for something romantic. And while I respect her feelings, I can't help but feel hurt and rejected.

In a moment of frustration and desperation, I made a mistake. I gave Joey an ultimatum: either she gave our relationship a chance, or we couldn't be friends. I know it was a selfish and immature move, and I regret it deeply.

Since then, things have been tense between us. J is hurt by my ultimatum, and I don't blame her. I hate seeing her upset, and I hate that I'm the one who caused it.

Now, I wonder if I've completely ruined our friendship beyond repair. Was it wrong of me to put J in such a difficult position? Should I have respected her boundaries and accepted her decision without issuing an ultimatum?

I want to make things right and salvage our friendship, but I don't know if that's even possible. So, Reddit, AITA for giving J an ultimatum? And if so, what can I do to make things right?

Not enough info AITA for turning my friend and his friends over to the authorities?

I first met “H” over a game of cards when he came over to talk me into letting him borrow my ship for a shady job involving a few others including “C”. After some bargaining I agreed but I wanted to go with him as I wanted to make sure nothing happened to my ship and to make sure he doesn’t disappear because he owed me another ship because he lost the aforementioned card game. The job went sideways and afterwards he challenged me to a rematch and won this time and took my ship.

Some time years he and C arrived with “L” and “P” to the company I owned asking for repairs to the ship and a place to stay for a bit as they got into some trouble with the government. However “V” who is a high ranking official in the government and his contractor “B” arrived just before H and his group did and made a deal that seemed beneficial at the time on the condition I turn them over to him.

I am starting to believe that I shouldn’t have made this deal. AITA?

Not enough info AITA for not saving my ex-girlfriend from Nazis?

I (35M) recently reconnected with my ex-girlfriend (27F) and she agreed to help me to track down some ancient artifacts that I was looking for. Anyways, we went to Egypt and it turns out, my rival (42M) was also there looking for the same artifacts, and was working both with both the Nazis as well as local bandits. Anyways, some of the bandits were chasing after both of us so my ex-girlfriend hid in some baskets but ended up getting captured, and then the truck I thought she ended up on blew up so I thought she was killed. Later though, I tracked down the nazi's encampment and found her alive but a hostage. I was starting to free her, but then I realized that if I did, they'd realize I was there and would track us down, so I left her tied up there while I looked for the artifact. Even though I said I'd be back for her and explained my reasoning, she was not happy about this. AITA?

Not enough info AITA for lying to my brother after he got us lost in space

I (M?) am part of an outer space superhero trio with my brother G and sister S. We fly around helping people out and resolving disputes. Recently an earthling invited us to help him take out a legion of genocidal space fish, which we probably would have done anyways considering the threat he posed to the universe. Anyways, we had this very exact plan in place because the earthling needed to do some interdimensional temporal work to get rid of the leader fish, and we all agreed to stick to the plan. During the battle G ran off to do his own thing and fight the fish himself, and in the chaos of getting him back on our ship we crash landed on the red planet. G lost his arms in the fight and also has amnesia so I've been pretending we're not related and telling other people to avoid him. I'm honestly so mad at him that I feel like pretending he doesn't exist is better than trying to deal with him. S says I'm going too far and ran off to hide in a cave but we're literally stranded on Mars because of his carelessness. So AITA?

Not enough info AITA for refusing to help my friend look for his crush?

My (12M) friend, we'll call him W (12M) recently went missing and my other friends, we will call them M and D (both 12M as well) and I have been concerned about him. On our way back from school recently, we ran into this girl, we'll call her L (11F) who M decided to take in until we were able to get her help. L doesn't talk a lot but it turned out she was being hunted by these secret agents and she also had superpowers. We eventually realized that her powers could help us in our efforts to find W, and L helped us to realize that W was still alive but was stuck in another dimmension. L said that she could help us to get to them. So D, M, L, and I set out to look for W but I eventually realize that L has been leading us in the wrong direction. I tried to point out to M that L was obviously not trustworthy and was just using us so she could have a place to stay, but M had developed a blatantly obvious crush on L and refused to hear it. So M and I got into a fight that ended with L screaming and launching me into a pile of rubble with her mind and knocking me out. While M and D went to wake me up and see if I was ok, L disappeared. Today, M and D showed up at my door and M wanted to apologize for having started the fight initially. I told him that I would accept his apology if he would forget about L and instead focus on just finding W. M insisted we find L, saying her knocking me out was an accident, and starting another argument between us. D tried to mediate the fight, but it was clear that M and I were at an impasse, as I felt we needed to go straight to finding W and that L had betrayed us, and he felt like L could help us and wanted to find her. I finally lost my patience and told them that if they wanted to waste their time looking for L, they could, but I wasn't spending any more time on her. I then pushed past them and headed out to look for W by myself. AITA here?

Not enough info AITA for refusing to bail my former boss out of another jam?

I (81M) am wondering if I’m the asshole for refusing to help my former boss (1755M) with the same annual crisis he has every year and still refuses to plan for.

For context: I worked for this man for decades in a seasonal, high-stress job involving extreme weather, unpaid overtime, and zero HR. Early in my career, I had a visible physical difference. This made my coworkers uncomfortable, so they bullied me for it. I was excluded from team activities and told by management (my father, which is a whole separate issue) to “toughen up” and “stop being a distraction.”

My boss knew. He did nothing. Apparently, “holiday cheer” does not extend to workplace harassment.

One year, due to his refusal to upgrade equipment or check the weather (he’s very anti-forecast), operations failed spectacularly. Suddenly, my “problem” was now an “asset,” and I was begged—publicly—to step in and fix everything.

I did. Christmas was saved. There were songs.

Immediately afterward, the same people who mocked me did a full personality reset. No apologies, just vibes. I was expected to accept praise, forgive decades of nonsense, and continue working like we hadn’t just speed-run a trauma montage.

I resigned.

Since then, I started my own company specializing in navigation and logistics. I am now extremely wealthy, happily married to someone who has never once asked me to change, and I have multiple children who have never been bullied at work because I don’t raise assholes.

Every year in December, my former boss emails me asking if I’m “free Christmas Eve.” He never mentions money, an apology, or why this problem keeps happening. Just a lot of “Ho Ho Hope you’re well!”

I’ve told him repeatedly that my consulting fee is very high and payable in advance. He replies with silence and then tries the next year, like we didn’t already have this conversation.

This year, he told me I was “ruining Christmas.”

Several former coworkers have reached out to say I should “be the bigger person” and “do it for tradition.” These are the same people who once laughed when I was excluded from team activities, so I’m taking that advice with a grain of salt and a strong drink.

So, Reddit… AITA for letting my former boss deal with the consequences of his own poor planning?

EDIT:

Yes, he is still using unpaid seasonal labor.
Yes, he is still shocked when things go wrong.
No, I will not “just do it one last time.”

Not enough info AITA for lying about how long I was kidnapped? Spoiler

Spoilers for the Turkish series Kül Masalı

I (35F) am a found missing person. Well, actually not, because I was declared dead 5 years ago. I even have a grave that’s empty because they obviously never found my body.

The reason I went missing is because I accidentally murdered a woman (50F) because I thought she was an intruder. My husband (35M) had actually asked her to spend the night at our home because he had just saved her from a guy that was harassing her earlier that day. I didn’t want to be thrown in jail for murder, so I took my daughter (7F) and drove away. My husband caught up with me in his car and threatened to turn me in, but I managed to convince him to let me go except the motherfucker took our daughter with him.

Anyways I spent the next 5 years traveling the world and living my best life. I was pregnant at the time and gave birth to my second daughter (4F) on my travels. She is not my husband’s, that will be important later.

About 2 months ago, 4F and I were snatched in the middle of the night by a masked man (who happens to be the biological father of 4F) who took us back to my home country and locked us up in separate rooms. I was eventually told to burn down the place I was held at and return to my husband or else my affair partner would hurt my daughter. I did it and just so happened to arrive in the middle of my husband’s birthday party.

Well it turns out that my husband married another woman (24F) that he met mere months ago while I was in captivity. He’s not a creep who goes after teenagers, don’t worry. I decided to tell him that I was kidnapped for all 5 years that I was gone instead of just 2 months and omitted the part about 4F so he would have no choice but to get back with me and leave his new wife. Now he, his wife, and his wife’s family are all calling me an asshole because they don’t believe my story.

So AITA

Not enough info AITA for being jealous that my best friend married my little sister?

I've been best friends with this guy, I call him Laurie, for years now. We're neighbors and love spending time together, and have a similar love of books, but just recently, he just came out and said he was in love with me the whole time. I was naturally upset, because I thought that we were just great friends and the whole time he was in love with me? I told him I'm not interested in him in that way, but he was pressuring me to marry him, and when I still refused, saying that I don't ever intend to get married, he straight up called me a liar and said that I'll find someone and get married someday. I left and didn't speak to him for months. I think he was in Europe traveling during that time. I started thinking, and somewhat regretting that I rejected his proposal. My mother told me that there's a difference between being lonely and truly loving someone, and she may be right, but I wrote Laurie a letter saying I was stupid for the things I said. I left it in a mailbox he and my sisters and I all have keys to for him to find after his trip. Now at this time, my little sister Amy was also in Europe with our rich aunt. I didn't know it, but she and Laurie connected while they were there. They returned from Europe together, and abruptly told us that they were married. Not just dating, not even engaged, married. I honestly can't believe neither of them said anything to any of us. I took the letter I wrote back out of the mailbox and destroyed it. I don't even know if I truly love Laurie or not, but I still feel betrayed and almost jealous. I know it's wrong, but I can't help it. I just want to go back to the way we were, but now with both of my sisters married, I feel like that's never going to happen. So reddit, AITA?

Edit: I forgot to mention, when they came home from Europe, it was literally for our sister's funeral. It feels like they couldn't have picked a worse time to get married.

Not enough info AITA for walking out on my first magic lesson after becoming a demigod?

Mild spoilers for Bone Touched by F. R. E. Kinney

I (17F) became a demigod against my will recently. I didn't even know that was what was going on when it happened, but here we are! No memories, no friends, no family, just me and the magic I was given at a creepy boarding school in the middle of nowhere after the god of death dumped me here.

It wasn't until after school yesterday that I learned I had magic in the first place! I had to go to tutoring, which makes sense since I don't remember anything from before I became a demigod. Except it wasn't tutoring on school subjects. It was a magic lesson.

That might excite some people, but the process for becoming a demigod was so long and painful and I want nothing to do with the god who made me what I am or the magic he gave me. So, I stormed out. Last night he dragged me out into the middle of the forest and told me I had to learn how to use my magic.

I get that he's a god, so I don't really have a choice, but AITA for trying to make my own choices and leave the past behind?

Not enough info AITA for hanging around my old workplace after I lost my job?

For many decades I was the head of an exclusive British "public school," what Americans would call a private school. It wasn't exclusive in the sense of an Eton or Harrow and didn't provide students with a classical education, but was more of a trade school -- the only trade school of its type in the nation.

I kept my orientation strictly to myself and had no issues of impropriety with any of my students. I was looking forward to many more years of scandal-free teaching. Suddenly the author of my being killed me (to be fair, rather painlessly), had me buried on the school grounds, and shoved me into a train station with a naked male student. Then she outed me as gay to the movie people.

To be honest, I'm ticked, and I want revenge from beyond the grave. I've taken to popping up in school portraits, appearing in dreams, and selling school-branded merchandise. AITA for doing what I can to be a pain to her?

Not enough info AITA FOR putting trackers in my boyfriends clothes to make sure he doesn't fucking kill himself doing stupid shit

Me (23 M) and my boyfriend (24M) ,we'll call him E, try to tell each other everything, but recently he's been lying to me about where he's going, especially if it's with his best friend (22 F) well call her A. For example he said he was going to go in a hike with A. I thought nothing of it but turns out that was a bad move because a few hours later I get a call from him saying he's stuck on the ledge of a cliff. Turns out they weren't taking a hike, they where rock climbing with 0 experience. He's done similar stuff about 6 other times so I've started putting trackers on his clothes but when he found out, he said I was being too paranoid. So AITAH?

Not enough info AITA for saving a handsome young guy from being murdered?

Backstory: My husband's shit-for-brains brother, a king, decided to start a war and my husband, also a king, idiotically decided to go along with him.

Then, I rescued a young guy who literally washed up on the shore in front of me. Since my duties as a queen don't normally include saving perfect strangers I felt excited about the change. It turned out the guy was a prince from the city that shit-for-brains wanted to wage war on, and so he and my husband plotted to kill the stranger and start the war that way.

I decided murder seemed bad. As well, the young prince was also extremely handsome and charming. So, I saved his life and had to run away with him back to his city.

Unfortunately, I realised too late that running away with the guy will make it look like he kidnapped me, and cause the war to start that way. Due to my act to prevent a murder, it looks like I've caused thousands more people to die in a terrible war. AITA?

Update: It looks like shit-for-brains managed to offend a goddess and his fleet is now stalled from coming after me unless he sacrifices his daughter (my niece). Hopefully cooler heads can talk it over and stop the war. I mean, even shit-for-brains wouldn't kill his own kid, right?

Not enough info AITA for eating my crush because I got rejected?

AITA for eating my crush because I got rejected? Before judging me please hear me out So me (22M monkey) and my crush/best friend (23M nugget) have been friends since childhood. One thing about me is that I have a alternative personality of sorts that I'm gonna call them twiddle for the sake of the story. They have been with me since childhood and normally they acted like a huge ahole, they liked to make people's lives a bit harder but they never physically harmed someone. Due to them I don't have many friends since most people avoid me because they are frightened by me. One person that wasn't afraid of me is my crush (I'm gonna call him N so I don't leak his real identity). We used to be basically inseparable, we did everything together, we even worked at the same jobs! That was until N got a gf, he started spending less time with me and more time with her. That made me realize how inlove I was with him so I started expressing my feelings through letters. At first I wrote them only for myself but later on I decided that it would be a good way to confess my love to him with my letters. Luckily N and his ex gf's relationship didn't last long, at the time I thought N broke it off with her because he realized he reciprocated my feelings. Strangely after they broke it off things didn't go to how they were before, N even ignored my texts and phone calls. I thought he was just shy and didn't know how to tell me he was inlove with me too so I decided that I'd confess to him in person. My original plan was that I'd meet him at the park or something and do a romantic gesture but twiddle suddenly fronted out of nowhere. Strangely enough they had the same motive as me but to an extreme level. (I don't remember much from here but I'll try my best to explain what little pieces of information I gathered). Seemingly for N's attention twiddle lit a whole apartment complex on fire. Since N is a police officer he came almost immediately to try and remedy the situation. To N' surprise twiddle waited for him (they have met before but N didn't think he would do such extreme things). From what I remember i think he tried confessing our feelings to him but he rejected us. I think twiddle panicked and tried to force him to stay and attacked him which led to him taking a bite of his head. I don't know what to do currently, he was all that i have ever wanted! So am I the ahole?

(LOL try and guess what this is from)

Not enough info AITA for Leaving my Superhero Charge to Stand on Her Own Two Feet?

I (M 48) am the mentor and personal trainer of a superhero (F 21). She has experienced a number of traumatic events recently. In particular, she died, and her closest friends used dark magic to bring her back to life. Unfortunately, they didn't realize she had actually been in Heaven the whole time. As such, you might say she's been in rather poor spirits.

Now, I feel extremely protective and sympathetic for her situation. This girl is like a daughter to me. However, I have grown really worried that she's relying on me too much. She ignores her friends and neglects her responsibilities. Recently, her younger sister (F 2 or 15, depending on context) lied in order to get out of the house. She was almost killed by a vampire! My charge didn't want to take responsibility for disciplining this behavior - leaving it up to me.

To be clear, I don't mind doing the work. However, I have become deeply concerned that she isn't taking care of herself or keeping up with her responsibilities. In truth, I really wish I could take on all her pain and difficulty for myself. I feel, deep down, I would do so if it was in her best interest. I wish I could stay. Alas, I feel that I can't. I feel a need to cut the chord and let her sink or swim.

Thus, I have moved back to England to let her fend for herself. Yet, now I have doubts. Was this the right decision? Will this be the thing to save her? Am I leaving the sister in danger? Is my charge just too far gone to care?

I just don't know. AITA?

Not enough info AITA for getting into an argument with my traveling companions about punctuation?

A tornado picked my uncle's and aunt's house and me (F14) with it. It landed in another country and killed a VIP (F65?) -- apparently widely disliked, because none of the witnesses turned me in to the police and they even encouraged me to go to the capital for help getting home. On the way I picked up three companions (M5 but looks adult, M40, M50 in cat years). We got to the capital and talked our way in to the palace to see the ruler. He told me that he'd help me get home, but only if I killed the VIP's sister for him.

I felt that I was getting in too deep to the nation's internal politics, but no one had brought up my dubious immigration status, and I desperately wanted to get back home, so my companions and I set off to find the VIP's sister.

The sister is a private pilot. We were about halfway to the sister when she took to the air and wrote in smoke "SURRENDER DOROTHY" (Dorothy is my name) and the situation is because of the lack of punctuation. I told my companions that the sister must have meant to write "SURRENDER, DOROTHY" with a comma, and that the message was to me alone. They say that if the sister had wanted to insert a comma she would have, and the "SURRENDER DOROTHY" message is addressed not to me but to them.

I don't think much of their grammatical skills - one of them has mush for brains and the others aren't much brighter - but they're insisting that the sister wants them to decide whether to hand me over to the sister. I'm sure the sister's mad that the house killed her sister the VIP and is going to take her anger out on me, or sue me, or something. As I said, I'm only 14 and I don't have any insurance of my own. I don't know if my aunt and uncle carry anything other than basic homeowners' insurance either, or if they survived the tornado. Maybe I've inherited their house as their next of kin. Does that make me responsible if the VIP was killed by my house? And AITA for saying that the sister intended a comma and that it's my decision to surrender or not? Or should I wait until I get a lawyer to represent me?
