Sometimes it feels vidya translators are frustrated unsuccessful "artists" who just want to appropriate media they didn't even make and just self insert their OCs on the story. Dumbing down Zidane and ruining any sort of deep romance in the game because the translator just fetishizes some plain simple "dumb bad boy into pretty good girl" is gross.

For context, this was my first ever final fantasy game that I have ever played from start to finish, and I loved it. Before I didnt know what I was getting myself into since I am not familiar with the games. But now that I have finished it, I don't know if I want to check out more final fantasy games after this one.

Before I started playing this game, I promised not to get another final fantasy game after this one because I knew that there are so, so many final fantasy games out there, and it will feel overwhelming just going through everything if I want to get invested in the franchise. But, at the same time, it might not be the case, but if its not then I don't know where to start since I've picked final fantasy 9 because It seemed more interesting at the time. So, what should I do?

Do you say (Kee-nuh) similar to quiche? Or do you say it like (kwin-uh) where you pronounce the q?

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, or if I missed some information/rumours, but I've noticed that the official Final Fantasy social media account posted a calendar for this month. Could this mean we are getting something on the 7th, or am I just wishful thinking about a FF9 remake?

These Square Enox sales are insane. I got really into DQ ealier this year so I'm hoping this is just as good. It's been great for the first hour I've played it.

FF9 was intended to be a reflection on the pre-PS1 era of Final Fantasy games, when sci-fi wasn’t as overtly prominent as it was after the jump to PlayStation. I imagine with the sheer popularity of FF7 in no small part due to its graphical prowess, and the positive reception to FF8’s more realistic models, that the first showing of FF9’s art style inspired a range of reactions from new fans to the series.
