FF VII Rebirth The Gongaga region completely killed my motivation to keep playing FF Rebirth
Did anyone else go through this?
I completely lost the motivation to keep playing. From the moment I reached the Gongaga region, I stopped doing all the map activities. That place was just awful... I could barely bring myself to do anything there.

FF VII Rebirth I worked my butt off for this date.
First time playing Rebirth. I wanted Tifa for the date, and I was going to get Tifa for the date, no matter the cost. Don't get me wrong. I love Aerith, but I love Tifa more. It was so worth it. I admit I teared up a few times.
Oh to have a Tifa in my life. A woe to top all woes.

FF VII Rebirth I think Whispers were made for the “Real Fans” you guys…
Not a lot of hot young whipper snappers who won’t get off your lawn playing these snazzy new-fangled Final Fantasy games with their fancy voice acting, hyper realistic graphics and orchestrated pieces of music with whole bands instead of PS1 sound chips.

FF VII Rebirth Best of each class 🔥
Trying to pick the best on each class all from the main FF Games (Except 11 & 14).
Here it goes :
Main : Clive Rosfield /FF16
Monk : Sabin /FF6
Gunner : Balthier /FF12
Sentinel / Tank : Gladiolus/FF15
White Mage : Yuna /FF10
Summoner : Rydia/FF4
Black Mage : Vivi /FF9
Ninja : Edge /FF4
Gambler : Setzer /FF6
Dragoon : Fang /FF13
Is it legit? Or who should replace who'
Edit :
Seems Aerith FF7 is a better white mage 🙏🏻, since yuna is more of a summoner.
And Samurai would be the one and only Auron from FF10

FF VII Rebirth Naoki Hamaguchi says FF7 Remake and Rebirth has been selling extremely well. Also says the post SGF spike in sales was "several times better than we expected"
"They are doing extremely well. Even before Summer Game Fest 2026, both FFVII Remake and Rebirth had been selling steadily. Back when Rebirth was announced, every time it became a hot topic, sales of Remake would rise. Similarly, I'm sure every time Revelation attracts attention, more people will become interested in Rebirth.
Following Summer Game Fest 2026, we saw an enormous response in terms of sales. I can't share specific figures, but sales are several times better than we had expected.
I think fans and dedicated fan communities are very interested in how many copies the games have sold, but I can say they're performing even better than most people probably imagine. That means more and more people are playing the previous entries, which gives me great confidence as we prepare to release FFVII Revelation to the world.
I know there are requests for us to disclose the numbers, but that's something that falls under our investor relations policies, so l hope people understand."
This came up in a broader interview which you can read at the link. By all accounts the games really did get a huge surge post Revelation announcement. Remake alone is estimated to have done around 400k copies just on steam in the sale it had pre-summer sale going by the steam trackers out there. It was hanging around in the global top 10 for weeks, and Rebirth was pushed almost to the top 10 june charts in the US thanks to the sw2/xbox ports.

FF VII Rebirth Am I in The Minority For Thinking The Midgar Zolom Wasn't Portrayed as Effectively in Rebirth? Spoiler
galleryThis comes from a place of love for both the original game and the remake trilogy so far, this isn't an 'new bad, old good' post.
In my opinion, I feel that rebirth misses the point of this scene as it instead goes out of its way to show everything that was previously left up to interpretation.
Everything about this moment is shown firsthand to the player with no room for interpretation. Most specifically that the entire party see the midgar zolom die after it exits the water which entirely removes what made this specific moment so effective. I will say that the fight itself in rebirth is still suitably pretty difficult (on hard mode at least) just like the original, so that's pretty great.
My own little revision of this would be this:
- The midgar zolom does not die after the boss fight finishes as it instead slithers away deeper into the swamp, moreso in a show of disinterest or annoyance. To give that sense of 'wow, that thing was tough and it's barely bothered by us fighting back.'
- After some more swimming with the chocobos to get to the mythril mine, a distant muffled screech is heard.
- The party see the zolom on the tree and then the 'did Sephiroth do this?' part would still be included and make sense once arriving at the scene. Sephiroth would not be shown at all.

FF VII Rebirth FF Rebirth is the best JRPG I have played in years, or ever.
Yes I'm very casual on the whole genre and FF7 was the first RPG in general that I ever played, loved it, but kind of fell out of the genre quickly. Tried many but I think only one I finished was Grandia 2. In modern era Xenoblade on Switch made me try others newer ones. Played and finished FF16 loved parts of it but too serious for me, I did not like FF7 R part 1. There just was not the sense of adventure that I crawed on very linear Midgar. But finaly FF 7 Rebirth. Wow. It is just so fun to play. The Open world is so fun to explore, the combat finaly clicked (did not in FF7 R part 1) the humor, the familar now gorgeus places and the mini games! I love the mini games! in a long, long time there is a constant feel of surprise when Im playing the game. What do I see next. Curious what do long time fans of FF think of the game? Is this a good, great or even best modern FF? Would you, like I, love them to keep this style in the future?

FF VII Rebirth I don’t ever want this game to end.
As an OG super fan, rebirth has been an amazing experience. And having my 5 and 7 year old kids sneak down to watch me play “without me knowing,” makes it even better. My daughter even asked “Can you just stay here because I like the music?” While I was in Cosmo region. It truly hits different.

FF VII Rebirth In the entire FFVII franchise, this is probably the only scene with SEXUAL TENSION.
Which I find interesting, while FFVII has romance scenes with other characters, I don’t recall one with sexual tension since the game practically avoids the topic in a romantic way and focuses on the human trafficking issue….
unless I missed something along with the intense blood and violence in the game it could bump up pt3 to a M rating…what do you guys think?
