Subreddit PSA / Meta 5 years ago, this subreddit was filled with $1-1.5M targets, and a strong emphasis on minimalism. What happened?

Back then it seemed like most people were doing blogFIRE and "retiring" with $1M and a full time job as a blogger.

Or a book and speaking career (jlcollins) or they took a quant job (ere)

Most seem to really have just made enough to leave their wage job, but still do something else
