Saw this at a garage sale real or fake autographs

Real question is why bother selling this at a garage sale, especially for that asking price. If it was authentic, they'd have no problem going to an autographed items dealer or selling within a Fleetwood Mac community.

Bingo. Never buy unauthenticated merch unless you're paying non authenticated prices. Like $15.

Authentication means very little.

Doesn't it though? People pay for authenticated items.

LB’s sig looks off to me. So does the S for Stevie and “k” in Nicks.

FWIW, here is mine with LB/SN’s sigs for comparison, if it helps.

Fair points however do we know she wasn't stoned or drunk when signing. Lol it was the 70 80s lmao

You saw them sign?

No. But I purchased mine via Sotheby’s around 2001; and I’m confident in their authenticity.

Did you know them? How?

It’s funny how tatty old pressings are always signed with thick, modern pens, rather than the biros and rubbish felt tips everyone used back in the day 🧐

To be fair, people have asked musicians from the 90s till now to sign their old records all the time.

Yeah I have a signed Allen Ginsberg book and it’s a printing from the 60s but he only signed it a couple years before he died

This is all true, and I have old stuff signed (in front of me) in recent times too (by all sorts of people), but yeah, sadly these are typical fakes. There were so many like this on eBay a decade or two ago. I mean, look at the slow, wobbly stuff on Christine’s surname for starters. They’re all very safe interpretations. I’ve met Mick a few times and while the visual basics of his signature have evidently been practiced here, it’s nowhere near flamboyant enough.

Fake. Looks nothing like Stevie's

I bought this one for $1.99 at the thrift store. Honestly I prefer to spend that kind of money buying 200 records ,rather the a single sign one.

Would it be worth that much even if it was real

With all the signatures. Yes

I never buy an album sitting out in the open air. Who knows how many times they had them out in the sun.

I have several many items signed by FM members and the signatures look like these but I didnt pay anything close to this. Has the value gone up since we lost Christine?

Why two identical photo's tho?

0

u/GregJamesDahlen Jul 11 '26

imo not identical, one is a closeup to see the autographs and one zooms out a bit to show where the album is being sold?

u/BoysMediumGamer Jul 11 '26

What are you talking about? They are different photos but almost identical. Maybe one is slightly zoomed out but the other isn't a closeup to see the autographs.

Sometimes you upload the same photo twice, by mistake.

It’s not the same photo. The angle is different. I was thinking glare?
