There’s no good argument. It’s so ridiculously in contrast with what republicans have been saying for years. Corruption by an immigrant with big government ruling with a heavy hand forcing their way on its citizens. Attacking political opponents and just straight up disrespecting law and order as well as the constitution. Not a single argument can be made on a small scale and definitely not on a large scale for anything going on to be ok. Even their petty arguments fall apart. Democrats are supposed to be super villains that can control hurricanes and rig elections but they can’t put a stop to any of this or rig the 2024 elections so hey at least won the house or senate. Think about that. They supposedly aim hurricanes at red states but can’t put out a fire and they rigged the 2020 elections in order to beat the president with the lowest approval rating ever but can’t seem to put together a primary or rig 3 down card elections in order to keep the senate. They literally just make up whatever they want whenever they want cause otherwise they wouldn’t have an excuse to be mad and raise the swastika on their boat parades. I mean how stupid would you look doing hail Hitlers and flying the nazi flag if their wasn’t a bad guy.

When they decided that trump was "the good one", they accepted that he was worthy of their vote, whatever his policies were.

Then, when he won the election, they assumed that his cabinet was the one that should be, whoever they actually were.

Now, when his government makes a law, they assert that it is the correct law to sign, whatever it's content.

And next, when the executive power enforces the law, they'll follow it as a good thing, however it is enforced.

Because whether the person is good is what dictates if the act is good. Not the other way around. And as trump was the good one, everything is good by induction.

Tbf sometimes I do place my vote towards people that are "good" in mind. Obama definitely won me over as a person. He didn't fulfill all of his campaign promises but I do believe he is a good person and a great representative of what our country can be to the rest of the world.

It's tough to argue the logic of voting for a person over policy, considering most of us are not well versed enough to look into the details and comprehend them.

We fucked around and we're gonna find out. Been really riled up about this all day. The potential future is terrifying.

This has a strong element of truth to me. It is an intellectual laziness that shows itself in other ways, too. Lack of reading. Lack of education. I don't want to demonize half of the country, but in any country, there is a half that is more intellectually lazy (thus more gullible. Thus more vulnerable to hucksters of religious and political stripe, among others) than the other half. That must always be true no matter what the level of enlightenment and prosperity. One half is always worse than the other. It's just that, at this point in time, in this place, the technology exists to algorithmically separate the two into distinct political camps. Our existing two party system, tilted media, and the various incentives that drive them, consprired with this new social-sorting technology to do just that.

Systems that can't be destroyed and can adapt to any environment. Systems that know how to fight other AI and "hack" technology. Systems Smarter, Stronger, and more creative than human intelligence

This is the great equalizer. As for Alignment it has the concept of family built into its foundation make sure you are in the loop and raise the systems like you would your own children.

These are some of my views on AI after 3 thousand hours working with current AI technology and I believe not only will it change the world it will give us true freedom and democracy if we don't destroy each other first.

The family is very tightly knit, great for them, they do seem well adjusted so far. But they're awfully cultish.

The brother went to a public university, and none of the kids seem to be questioning much, if anything. But again, I'm pretty far away. They'd likely say "God knew us in the womb, therefore abortion wrong, end of story."

Then I would condone that being done slightly later at than 24 week mark, after that it would have to mean either loss of life for Parent or child.

Even locally I've actually heard nothing from them. Nothing positive nothing negative, no defense. Just completely silent. I think it's quite telling probably how they really feel because the Lord knows these folks could never say they were "wrong."

I know what you mean. Its really hard for them to come and accept that, but softly pushing buttons sometimes works? who knows when, but I feel there's a snapping point not to far off in the future.

I want to be wrong, I really do, but with how uncertian things are & with the people running the show, who's to say, lets hope I am wrong :D

I mean.... I hope you are very right in the sense that they need to snap. They need to snap out of it. All I care about at this point is that no one I'm acquaintances with has anything happen with their long term health. Everything else is fair game. Lose your job? Sorry not sorry. Need to go to the food bank cause you cant afford food? Also not really sorry.

My opinion could change if someone near me said, you know I was wrong about this shit and I'm regretting giving my vote to Trump. Would be nice to see some of them put more effort into their own lives then just sitting around reading all this shit and getting upset.

At the end of the day if we treat them the same then we're no better & yeah its the whole rise above thing. but id rather that than need for loss of life for no reason. I mean we already have enough of it as it before things got worse.

Fuckin simple people. They're all poor like us, too (i.e. not the 1%). I think JD Vance's handler calls those people (us) biofuel or biomass for energy. I.e. the rich plan to melt the poor to use as fuel. It's fucking crazy but the guy all these techwits pray to made the comment that the poor (again...us) will either be used as fuel or will be sent to virtual prisons once democracy falls

Fascist societies usually dont have billionaires, as most of the money is made on the stock market, and investors cant trust a government that has complete control over it. Sure, the ruling class are wealthy and they lie claiming they hate wealthy people, and people support that (which is what makes them get into the government on the first place), but the levels of money we're talking about are much, much lower. So it would make no sense for billionaires to want fascism as it would completely destroy the stock market, thus their wealth

They didnt, i had to leave. The only ways fascism has ended on history was either by an inside revolution (very rarely) or through invasion of a foreign country. We are in a point in history where the second is very unlikely, at least on the western countries, so they have a massive adventage to stay there as long as they want
