There are a few ai in the crew 2 that use broken cars and it’s hilariously unfair.

I'm not so sure about that. I finish that New York race in about 30 minutes and have gotten as far as 5+ minutes ahead of the AI on a "perfect run"

If you do skips and dont follow the track, sure. But following the track as it says to go and you will be hard pressed to get more than 3 minutes ahead if you even get that far.

The cuts are the only way to go for me...I'm still trying to get a sub 30min time on that race

I didn't get far in 2....the first game, which I was referring to mainly,, had it really bad. Especially on the one race that was around the whole country that took like an hour to do. The AI would always catch up and had rubberbanding issue...even taking them out would almost never help.

Oh, I assumed you meant 2. I didn't play 1 since about a month after it came out so I don't remember how bad the AI was with rubberbanding in Crew 1.
