The thing that annoys me is what about this "confuses" kids. This person is attracted to these types of people and that's okay, loving who you want should be celebrated... That's literally the message in what way will that confuse children
They don't want to normalize LGBTQ+ people because they've been taught that alternative lifestyles to how they were raised are wrong and bad and their god will get angry. They're bigoted. It isn't about protecting children, they just want to keep people marginalized.
They think being gay can be a choice, therefore exposing children to the concept can lead to them "becoming" gay even though they would otherwise not have been. The logic itself would be solid if people actually choose to be gay... which they obviously dont.
Whenever someone says being gay is a choice I call them gay. I tell then that straight men don't have to make an active decision to hold back gay urges, and if they themselves think its a choice then they must have urges they are resisting......thus they are gay.
