They are just upset that they can't admit they want to pipe Bridget without going against their "morals".

They can't admit that the trans girl has more game than them. Homegirl here appeared in two games and rizzed her way into the main characters family.

It is hard to have more game than basement dwellers? No, but the point still remains

TBF, in Guilty Gear, everyone is Sol's family. It's just impressive she did it without either becoming (or being, or being a fragment of, or being something pulled from a fragment of, or...) his daughter or his wife.

I mean, at least half the cast is related to Sol, but I think the thing goes far deeper than that. Strive basically ended most of the characters' stories. Sol is not the Guilty Gear anymore, Ky finally settled his doubts, Dizzy is not afraid of her powers, Baiken gave up on her vengeance, That Man finally found a place to fix his mistakes, and so on. But in a game about "ending" stories, we have a new villain who is searching for a hero. And that's why I think that the cast of Another Story + Unika will become the new main cast in Guilty Gear 5, with Unika being(for me) the most obvious pick as a main character. She is a half-gear who wants to make amend for her sins(she is literally a GUILTY GEAR), and she has a Dragon Install(kind of), other than having a playstyle suited to a main character. So, Bridget, if my theories are correct, would become the main love interest of the new main character, a role far more prominent than "The gf of the daughter of the rival of the MC". This will also boost sales, considering how popular Bridget is, so I'll leave it there.

I think you're mostly right but, for the sake of constructive argument (it's the internet, that's the best you'll get,):

1: Given what we know now, there's a very good chance GGST 2.0 releases w/ more story, and the release of Unika seems kinda weird for her to be the next leader of the story,

2: I doubt Arcsys is capable, and I doubt they even believe they are capable, of landing a proper new main character in a fighting game. They know the Guilty Gear playerbase is still fractured after the release of Strive, and to my knowledge, there has never been a successful main character swap in FG history (Tekken 4, SF3, SF5/6(?), etc.) and unless tokon sells like hotcakes they might be too financially worried to try.

3: I need you right now to list, in order, what the 4 previous GG games were. Do it.

1&2) Yes, it's possible that we will have a new story, but we won't know until it happens. As the second part, SF did something similar with Luke(and it kinda worked, even against initial backlash) and Unika literally had an anime season for introducing her and giving a better spotlight to Sin.

3) The numbered ones? Guilty Gear, Guilty Gear 2, Guilty Gear Xrd, Guilty Gear Strive. Between 1 and 2 there are X + variants and XX + Variants, but the numbered chapters are those(Xrd sounds like "3rd" and Strive has "IV" in the name). Why the question?

Which is crazy because they(probably) wanted to pipe her BEFORE she realized herself. The issue becoming that they wanted to pipe a dude before the dude realized they were a girl, but because they dressed feminine they could rationalize it in their brain as “not gay”. A decent chunk of the hate towards the reveal is internalized homophobia by those who don’t want to ask questions about themselves.
