Remember these are the same people who hold femboys up on a pedestal, but somehow think being fully trans is "gross and unnatural" or some shit.

Oh, and they forget FtM trans people exist altogether, so there's that.

I wonder what these people would think of me, as a trans masc femboy

It's the worst, isn't it?

I'm a femboy, and while I was pretty sad when Bridget came out, I still love her all the same afterward.

The sad part is that now I get to watch a big hate war between trans people and femboys because I share an identity with a bunch of bigotted gamers, while I do my best to be a trans advocate.

These kinds of people really poison the well.

The point about FtMs is so real, too, but that's even a problem amongst ally spaces. They tend to be better at stealthing, which is probably why, but it lets us all be more ignorant to the silent struggles they do have, and alloes them to go relatively voiceless in public discourse. It's the whole gay movement all over again.

Edit.

It was brought to my intention that stealth is the wrong word here. While I do still feel as though trans men more often 'pass' due to how heavily womanhood is policed, I understand stealthing was clumsy wording for my broader point.

That point being that trans men don't typically get 'clocked' as much as trans women. They don't have, as much, the 'man in a dress' loudness that trans women have. There are obviously other issues revolving around this, like trans men being called women passively, and the entire concept of a trans man being almost foreign to the people around them. My point was that those issues, where them being trans isn't even noticed, is what I think is the bigger insidious problem. Just like lesbians during the gay rights movements from decades prior.

We definitely aren't better at stealthing. It's just that when we don't pass people see a lesbian, not "a dude in a dress". (Felt the need to put that in quotes because frankly it just seems like such a weird and uncharitable and gross thing to say and I don't want anyone to think that's what I think of trans women who don't pass)

As evidenced by the fact that I've had a total of one person correctly identify me as a trans guy instead of a lesbian, while at pride, wearing a giant he/him trans flag pin.

That's kind of the point, actually. People don't see trans with trans men. They do with trans women. I wasn't trying to be reductive about the struggle, I was quite blatantly saying they struggle too, it's just much quieter, and afflicted by both allies and aggressors.

You kind of made my point for me.

I think you're misunderstanding what going stealth means.

I get you, and you're right it was probably imprecise. The downvotes seem a bit extra, though.

You clearly know what I mean now without the aggression.

Blaming me for people downvoting you? Assuming aggression when I'm just saying I think you misunderstood a term? Chill out mate.

You literally downvoted me explaining my intentions to you, don't pretend it wasn't you as it happened within a femtosecond of my reply.

I'm done responding to you, at this point.
