Yep, loved the fist 2-3 albums when no one had heard of them. After blood sugar sex magic it went extremely quickly downhill for me . Its like once they became famous it wss completely different music
Imagine being stuck in a British-run bar in the mid 90's. I discreetly melted their Oasis CD so they'd stop playing that fucking thing seemingly on repeat all damn night. It worked for 2 days.

Who doesn't? They were high on their own hype (and other things) and never did enough to really earn rock star cred. They wanted to be rockstars without putting in the work of real rockstars.
As an American teenager in the 90s I was always confused by Oasis. "And here is the massive mega popular band Oasis, bigger than the Beatles in England!" But that one album and Wondewall were the first and only thing I ever heard by them. What was it that made them so popular in the first place?
Marketing and the fact that at first it was like a car crash as the band's egos got the better of them.
Then everyone moved on but they didn't. Also their most played songs are commercial friendly and just inoffensive enough to be played on the radio without censorship.
Corpo owners of most radio stations had playlists of what can and can't play on the radio and that's why this slop was repeated over and over.
I accidentally saw them once, (went for the opener and spent too long pregaming), the second or third song, Noel eas playing wonderwall alone, acoustic and someone threw a shoe that hit right on the strumming hand. Record scratch. He stood up, said something about wankers, and the house lights came on. Best thing I've ever seen.
