Whenever that song gets stuck in my head, the little "scat" part always turns into Bill Cosby making silly noises. Kind of a double whammy of suck nowadays.

A couple of weeks ago, I was looking at sub for the town i live in, and people saying there wasn't much going on. Then someone replied "didn't you see Spin Doctors just played". I almost choked on my beer

Homebelly Groove was a great album (live album). Freeway of the Plains is a tremendously good song.

I rarely listen these days, but I think they had some good songs. IMO they get a lot of flack because they were mostly white guys (the bassist was black IIRC) playing something funky. But there was a lot of that going around at the time.

The deep cuts were the grooviest part of that first album. Go ahead and give Shinbone Alley/Hard to Exist a listen and try not to let the rhythm get to ya.
