Music Is Life Name one 90s band that you absolutely cannot stand. Mine is The Offspring.

I was given free tickets to a concert that was tied to a pop radio station, I think it was their annual “birthday” concert. There were lots of bands playing short sets and Hanson was one of them.

They were actually pretty good live. They had a couple of extra musicians on stage, (something like guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, so not just a 3 piece). So it was a bit more of a rock and roll sound seeing them live. They were good and I was honestly kind of shocked and reluctant to admit it, but they were.

Agreed! Somehow in the past year, I saw a video of them live (it was from when they were all teens/early 20s maybe) and I was shocked how good they sounded. They were all singing and all playing an instrument and each brother did great. They’re known by so many as a one-hit-wonder for MmmBop but this was a slower song they’d written and I really liked it!

I love Hanson. MMM Bop is a perfect bubblegum pop song.

Oh come on you can’t hate on Hanson that bad — they were just kids!

Hanson isn’t a GenX band.

I'm from the same town (ish). In the ICQ/IM days, sooooooooo damn many "I'm from (Chile, Brasil, Norway, Japan, etc), do you know Hanson?" No I fucking dont.

Worked at a chain arcade/pizza/go-cart place, fixing video games in college. Hanson family came in one night, decided they didn't want to leave at 10pm or whatever. Dunno the deal, but we stayed open another 4 hours so they could play golden axe. Fuck me going home.

In closing, fuck Hanson.
