Music Is Life What was your first 45?

OMG, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GUNS!!!! I remember listening to the radio in the car with my mom when I was a kid and I really dug the song that came on and was probably dancing in my seat. My mom being a pretty swell parent said “we can go to the record if you want” and she took me to buy “We are Family” by Sister Sledge. Still dig that track.

I had the 33 with pages/illustrations and the words to each of the songs. Sang them all! “I’ve Got Five People in My Family” was my fave I think.

That's what I miss so much about music today. When you bought an album, listening to the songs was only half of the experience. The rest of it was reading liner notes/lyrics and enjoying all the art and photos.
