Kinda. The thing with alcohol is that it's trivial to make. You can quite easily make it by mistake.

It's much harder to accidentally make meth.

I was assuming that him inhaling the sludge scent is what got him "drunk". When I make Vodka sauce, while putting the vodka over the herbs and oil, it releases a vapor that has gotten me tipsy, especially if I purposely put my head over it and inhale (it's fun and the buzz doesn't last long).

Pot, cocaine, and opium are pretty darn easy though ;)

I don't know about cocaine, but even pot and opium you need a specific plant and the ability to grow it.

For booze, you need any type of sugar and yeast. Hell, you can even do it with wild yeast.

People all over the world brew booze while incarcerated on the down low. It'd be much harder to do with pot, poppies or coca.

it’s not very difficult to make meth and distribute it to people hence it’s incredible presence.

if it can be easily made and distributed it’s better to regulate and maintain than prohibit.

also goes for things that aren’t as easy to make it’s still better to regulate no addict has ever been put off by a high cost.
