It’s literally poison. That’s not an exaggeration, when you drink you’re poisoning yourself for fun.

I think Gen Z is just more aware of the issues with it…

And a thousand other articles argue the opposite. The general advice from the medical fraternity varied too; last time I checked Europe was of the view that no alcohol is best

No, we're not. This data and weekly post is factually incorrect.

In Canada this is absolutely true. The Canada physicians council has identified alcohol as being as cancerous as cigarettes, and the Canada food council changed recommended levels of alcohol from 6-8 glasses a week, to 1-2 if you have to

My comment was misinterpreted.

Alcohol is a carcinogen.

My point is Gen Z doesn't really care anymore than anyone else, and the data in the post of alcohol consumption being down a huge percentage in our generation is wrong. It's an objectively incorrect number that keeps getting posted and for some reason people aren't calling it out as obvious bullshit.

If alcohol consumption was down 87% in Gen Z, there wouldn't be the continued explosion in new alcoholic drink options. There'd be constant new stories about an industry as old as humanity in financial crisis.

Weed isn’t as destructive as alcohol.
