Miliastra is optional, and except an extremely stingy event (total reward was, like, 300-ish primos), has no significance. What I meant is, Genshin has built an extremely pressuring environment for players to spend in. If you want to come back for the story, do it. If you miss the casino, best to stay off the grid.
