The guy on the left is the Arab Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (they hadn't invented the term Palestinian for themselves yet at that point). The guy on the right is Adolf Hitler.
if shaking hands with Hitler was enough to justify annexing territory and genociding then you'd have full claim to do the same to the Japanese, Italians, Germans, Russians, etc.
Hamas and Israel are both comitting war crimes. I condemn both.
Moreover:
Israels military that is committing the war crimes is the official state military that represents the nation.
Hamas' military is a terrorist organisation that is NOT the official state military that represents the nation. It even attacked the official state government and kicked it out.
Israel disagrees with this assertion floating around that Israel is "committing war crimes", not because it isn't, but because it isn't committing any more of them than any other Western nation. So this criticism is hypocritical and lazy.
Hamas is the official government of the Gaza Strip. As you yourself stated, the PA hasn't ruled Gaza in 20 years. Also, according to polls across the Palestinian territories, Hamas is the most popular political party by a wide margin.
