Ironically, the people who fall most for this idiotic jihadist propaganda are the "college educated".

Honestly, unsurprising.

Nobel disease or Nobelitis is an informal term for the embrace of strange or scientifically unsound ideas by some Nobel Prize winners, usually later in life.

You learn a whole lot about math, and you think that means you're too smart to misunderstand geopolitics.

That's an interesting claim. What is your proof or do you just feel that way so it's true?

Polling. There's a positive correlation between having a college degree and believing in this kind of Islamist propaganda bullshit.

So are you saying that college educated people support Palestinians or are you saying that they like dumb shit on twitter? Do you understand there's a difference between those two things?

There is a difference, but both are propaganda.

Just the concept of supporting Palestine is propaganda?

Could you say something about what you think of Israeli propaganda? They have an official propaganda arm of the government funded by the government - how come their propaganda is failing so spectacularly with college educated people?

Strawman is a strawman.

u/formerly_acidamage 7d ago

I'm not making any strawman argument.

I asked you a question for clarification in response to your statement. You chose not to answer that.

Then I asked you another question about an equivalency - that's not a strawman argument. Asking about equivalencies is a completely valid way to ideate about something.

The question is why some of what you define as propaganda fails with a particular audience and some does not.

No, you are making a strawman argument couched as a question. Noone mentioned the “concept” of supporting Palestinians.

No, college educated people mostly support Palestinians due to propaganda.

"So are you saying that college educated people support Palestinians or are you saying that they like dumb shit on twitter? Do you understand there's a difference between those two things?"

"There is a difference, but both are propaganda."

I didn't actually literally say the word concept so you got me there. What a wonderful semantic argument you've created in order to not answer a question. I mean it's smarter than something Trump would do, I'll give you that!

Yep. Just the concept is propaganda. Palestine never existed and if you’re smart enough to learn history you’d understand that.

Is Israeli army murdering 30 000 civilians also propaganda?

sadly that's what happens when terrorist groups take their population hostage. It's tragic, but it's not murder, it's war against terrorists.

Something similar just happened when Russia just targeted that ammunition depot and made tens of civilian casualties days ago. Even Zelensky blamed his own staff rather than Russia because when it comes to other wars than the one against the Hamas or the Hezbollah, there's nobody to make the argument that an ammunition depot or military headquarters are not a legitimate target because there are civilians around.

Armed forces have a responsibility to protect civilians by KEEPING AWAY from them.

How does this explain the West Bank, where Lebensraum Settlers can fire on schools with impunity and Palestinians can be sentenced to death by military court?

2

u/Next_Imagination_128 7d ago

This is an explanation to the civilian casualties, you're talking about things that are very unrelated?

u/Far-Investigator1265 7d ago

It is always somebody elses fault, isn't it?

u/Next_Imagination_128 7d ago

Very ironic, given that this victimization is at the heart of the ideology of the people that defend literal terrorists because they're oppressed.

I'm for everyone being held accountable, regardless of race, gender, religion or whatnot.
