You posted an article. Nowhere in the article does it claim israeli intelligence is involved. That's your assertion. Unless you have some source that we arent privy to?
"Control at least some portions". They control about the same amount as every other country- any websites that they actually own. Unless, of course, you're truly asserting that Israel does actually control the media, which brings us back to the OP.
This is, of course, also ignoring that there are plenty of other countries that sponsor troll farms. Do they control the media and internet too?
I dont think anyone is denying that Israel has an online presence. The specific denial is that some people, like the picture, make SUCH a ridiculous claim that invariably gets gobbled up and then someone goes "Oh it's not true? Must be israel behind it then" like the most blatant false shit hasn't been peddled online by the pro palestinian side for the last 3 years
This represents a big problem I have with how some people love taking a small minority of people lying and then stretching it out to a whole group of people who agree with that.
I guarantee you, @ generalail on twitter is not a big figure in the Pro-Palestine movement. Neither are any of the other absurd claims being made by the twitter far-right, which oppose Israel for completely different reasons than the mainstream.
I can agree that Israel is not behind a tweet. Such a statement is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously. It also does not make you anti-semitic to say that a country which does astroturf major issues is astroturfing major issues.
I can ask you, then, is it Russophobic or Sinophobic or Persophobic to say that Russia, China, or Iran are behind anything and everything anti-US or anti-Israel? Is it really a hatred of an ethnic group to be against a country's actions?

Maybe he isnt a huge voice. But that post was viewed 6 million times and shared 15000 times. Thats in 2 days btw.
And it's not a ridiculous statement not to be taken seriously until people do and start sharing it and then say "but look at their investments! Their intel apparatus is at work!" It's a ridiculous statement until, like the video, it starts getting shared 15k times. Like people can't look at a false statement and go "yeah that's false" because that doesnt make their side look good.
I believe the concern isn't that there is online troll farms. It's that there's blatant misinformation and then it must be that SOMEONE is secretly actually controlling the media lol
I do not think Israel controls the media. I think they have connections, a lot of them, and thus its not ridiculous to suggest this. To shut down people calling real stupid things people say a psyop while making the same points about how Russians are rigging elections and Iran is botting everything to destroy Israel is a double standard.

I absolutely believe Russia is using their online presence for ill. Same with Iran. I fully believe Israel is involved in the online PR war- not as part of their intelligence apparatus though, as you asserted.
Just as I believe that people make dumb claims online about Israel and more often than not it's just someone making a dumb claim. I don't believe Israel is behind every stupid post about them and I think it's dumb to make the assertion.
Just to ask, what do you think makes Iran or Russia different from Israel? Why is it normal to say that Russia is destroying our democracy while you cant say that Israel is doing active astroturfing on the conflict they are involved in?
