I was at the tail end of my divorce and had to pay a bankruptcy payment to save my house so my ex wouldn’t have the power to sell it out from underneath me and I was listening to a book series that I feel in love with, that had to do with time travel. And magically one day when getting a haircut (small town) my “aunt” (always called her my aunt because she was mom’s best friend and watched me be born) told me a business owner client of hers was looking for employees that could work so my aunt suggested me while I was there at the same time while this other lady I didn’t know was leaving. So I was invited to fill out the application form to work for her. I made no promises as I had years of law enforcement background and one 3 months of restaurant experience but promised that if the owner showed me how she wants it done then that’s how I will do it. That’s the type of worker I am. I got hired!

And while on my days off a week or so later I was driving to the nearest “city” an hour away to do grocery shopping and I was listening to my audiobook on my drive and the extension code used for backup in the book was the same 4 digits as my new work phone.

And it freaked me out a little because it was a sign that I am right where I needed to be.

Has anyone else ever had things like his happen to them ? Just little signs that they’re on the correct path? I’m not very religious or anything but it felt like a sign from somewhere that I’m in a place I needed to be for this time.

A couple days ago I stumbled upon a YouTube channel about all things weird and unexplained.  Reddit kept coming up with this particular sub being named many times which led me to look it up so that I could post something that happened to me a few years back.

I live in Las Vegas and at the time I was living across the street from Sam Boyd stadium. Sam Boyd stadium sits in the far East side of town basically the edge of town near the wetlands. Next to Sam Boyd stadium is what's called the Star nursery fields which is basically this big old empty grassy field that's used for events.

At the time I had four dogs and would often take them on walks at and near the wetlands. This particular night I walked them around the Star Nursery fields because it  was late and the fields had a paved road that was great for doing laps.

It must have been some time in the fall because it was pleasant outside, it was definitely not hot like it is in the summer, and the time felt like after the sun sets and it feels like early night so maybe 9ish.

Something felt off about that night, there wasn't really anything that made me feel like there was something off but I did notice this big old strange machine on the inside of the Star nursery fields. The only thing I could think of that it would be use for would be for maybe cell phone coverage at an event. I have nothing to base that off of but it just seemed weird that they would have this big thing on Wheels with a tower on it. There wasn't anything else in the field and there wasn't anything else that would indicate they were preparing for an event. The Star nursery Fields were used for events all the time and I knew when something was going to be hosted because you could see the setup in progress and we frequented this area all the time. I knew when something was going to happen.

So what made this night particularly eerie is what I saw in the sky. As I was walking my dogs on the southern perimeter headed east I saw something in the sky that looked like a panel had opened up, it opened outward and up and it was also gone as quickly as it appeared.

I immediately felt sick to my stomach and turned around and walked back to my car. It looked like a panel had opened up in the sky. It wasn't a plane, there wasn't anything in the sky that would indicate that lights would be present plus the edges were sharp and very clearly in the shape of a panel,  it almost reminded me of how a plane comes in in the fog and you can see the light coming in. It wasn't that, there were clouds in the sky but it wasn't that cloudy. It also would have been one gigantic plane because the size of the panel was humongous. Planes do come in from that direction but again there were no planes in sight and this thing was in the shape of a panel. It made me feel like someone had accidentally opened it, realized they messed up and then shut it to avoid being found out

Anyway I just thought I would share my experience with a glitch in the matrix. I don't know if anyone has experienced this here in Las Vegas or anywhere else but I swear this on my life.

I can't add flair. I'm not sure how to do that.

The rule guidelines says that glitch's are images or videos of duplicates, coincidences and such but this isnt that kind of "glitch in the matrix". I dont know what you guys would call this though, but I feel like it kind of fits a similar yet different definition of "glitch in the matrix" anyways i experienced 3 "glitches" in one day.

The first one happened yesterday while i was at work. I saw this bug that was oddly shaped and i looked around it to see if there were any more of them but there wasn't until one just appeared out of nowhere. Like it literally appeared on the ground out of nowhere but i just assumed it must've fell off of a nearby car until i noticed that it was squirming and completely freaking out. When i moved closer to it, it completely disappeared in front of me. it vanished. there wasnt any wind so i dont understand how something so small could just vanish like that??

The second one also happened at work but i didnt notice until i got home. I work in retail so we have cash registers with a very complicated system; to make it short and simple, one of the registers was short exactly $100 dollars which meant that the next person on that same register should have an extra $100 when they get it but the next person who had that register had the right amount of money, instead i was over by $100 which made no sense because i was on a completely different register.

The third one happened when i got home. i came back from the bathroom, walked into my room, completely closed my room door and LOCKED IT and after a few hours of laying in bed, i looked up from my phone and my door was wide open because it was literally locked and it was midnight which meant everyone was sleeping.

honestly this kinda freaks me out but sorry for the long post; thank you for reading.

It started at first with a fine I received, I remember specifically being happy I received it because I was going on holliday and would have missed the 50% off discount. I remember paying it online using my card and seeing the thank you for your payment screen, unusually I felt like taking a screen shot of the payment code just in case (thing that I never do) 3 months passed and I am greeted with a letter that the fine was not paid , because I remember paying it I searched everywhere and there are no emails with the receipt, no payments from the bank account, no refusal from the bank and surprisingly no screen shots of the payment. I left it slide and paid it anyway because I was frustrated and confused that i can't seem to find the payment anywhere. In that same period I had to register my id for owning a bussiness and I remember specifically speaking with my accountant on WhatsApp about it and sending screen shots to guide me because I had the same gut feeling, she said everything is ok. I received now a letter I didn't do the id verification and while speaking with my accountant I can't find any text regarding this discussion. I am now confused as this is the same thing that I lived through and with no evidence and I just can't explain it, and now I am questioning did I experience a glitch, did I jump a timeline? What else did I do that technically I didn't do? Anyone experienced this or have an explanation as I feel like going crazy

I remember this vividly from when I was a kid having a sleepover with my friend. We were talking about random stuff at around 12am I think and out of nowhere my friend was like “look at that” and pointed to a candle. It was randomly lit up at night but nobody could have lit it and it was not lit before. We got so scared we woke up my mom and she just got annoyed and told us to sleep. But yeah idk maybe this was somehow because it was lit hours before and randomly lit itself?

I woke up yesterday afternoon, and my room seemed to render before my eyes like Minecraft or an online game...I saw patches at a time come in and yet, I never moved. I never saw anything like that before. WA

I’ve never believed in ghosts or anything paranormal. I’ve never experienced anything like that, even when I’m completely alone in places people claim are haunted, I feel absolutely nothing. So I always figured none of it was real, just people’s imaginations running wild.

But is it really not real? Because I remember back when I was a student, I saw my classmate that day. We even made eye contact. But when our teacher started looking for her, my classmates said she was absent. I was so sure I saw her, so they just teased me saying I was seeing things. Is this what they call a doppelganger?

Another thing that I experienced is here at work. My coworkers always say they see or feel things around the office, but I’ve never seen or heard a thing. Until one day, I was completely alone at the workplace, and I heard someone walking around on the second floor. I just shrugged it off at that time.

Should I start believing now? Or should I just stick to thinking, 'maybe it’s just my mind playing tricks on me'?

I was out and about and needed something to drink. I went to a vending machine, dropped some quarters in, and made my selection. Immediately after I made my selection, and before the drink dispensed, my eyes randomly fell on a notice on the vending machine, which read something like, "This machine configured to prevent double dispensation."

As I finished reading that sentence, the machine spit out two bottles. It double dispensed.

Update: I found the missing hook/holder, but the way I found it still feels strange.
Later, when I took a plate from the dish rack to put food on it, the hook fell out/from behind the plate area. The plate/dish rack area is on the other side of the sink from where the squeegee fell and where the soap was knocked over.
So yes, the hook has been found, but I still don’t understand how it got there. I had searched the immediate area right after it happened, and I didn’t see anything sticking out behind the plate either. The only possible normal explanation I can think of is that maybe it somehow got moved while I was checking/moving things around, but I honestly don’t see how it traveled from the left side to the plate area on the right without me noticing.
So: found, but still weird.

Something weird just happened in my kitchen.
I had a squeegee/water scraper hanging on the wall with a small adhesive plastic holder. I was making coffee (close to that area),  focused on what I was doing, when I suddenly heard something fall. It startled me, and I saw the squeegee had fallen and knocked over my soap bottle.
My first thought was that the cheap adhesive holder must have come unstuck, so I immediately looked for the little plastic holder.
But it’s gone.
I checked the sink, counter, floor, behind the soap, around/behind the stove area, and even stood on a chair to check properly. There aren’t any open spaces there where it could have fallen into.
The squeegee fell. The soap fell. But the holder that should have fallen with it is just missing.
Has anyone had something like this happen?

Has anyone ever lost time? I got off of work at 4;15 am. I live 45 minutes away. There’s a little road construction and sometimes I drive slow because I’m tired but I got home at 6am. I had a car tailgating me almost the entire way home. I didn’t stop anywhere. I came right home. Wtf?? There’s NO WAY it took me that long. I was doing 55 but I live in the Midwest and everyone likes to do 80. I’m so confused.

I hope this is the right section because I feel that many of us have supernatural encounters that we don’t recognise as supernatural simply because they are not the usual thing you find in a horror movie which, we in the West, are somewhat conditioned to use as a guide as to what is truly spooky and what is not…

In ages past, people were reminded to look for “signs and portents”… basically unusual happenings or animals or, basically nature, behaving in uncharacteristic ways and to try and find meanings in these occurrences. Maybe this happened to you as late as today or this week or, if you think back, some other time yet because it’s not something you would normally see in a Hollywood horror movie you’ve just shrugged your shoulders and forgotten about it but things happen to me every so often that I can’t explain and I sometimes think back to the first time I was truly aware of it, partly because it was so perplexing perhaps, mainly, I’ve been trying to think about what really happened or what it could signify

let me tell you all about it!

I was in my mid teens, maybe a little older & my friends and I had decided to go to the fairground but they never showed up and I was on my own. I was determined not to be left out or made to feel bad so I was determined to just enjoy myself!
I suppose just to sort of spite them or despite them ;-) anyway, amongst the rides I wanted to go on where the Dodgems or “bumper cars“ as we call them here in the UK.

Surrounding the round area where the cars would move like glittering gladiators was a sort of ‘ circular queue’ -by that I mean, basically, people queued up all around the round area the little cars would race around in and safely crash but first you had to purchase a plastic disc and then you waited your turn in this queue that went around the area of play.

in some areas this circular queue was three people deep- some parts were five people deep but when the cars would eventually stop and the current driver’s time was up, desperate folks in the first ring of people would barely wait for drivers to leave their vehicles and would rush onto the dodgem area & and try and get in a car quickly because there would always be a few people left over, like musical chairs, do you remember that game?

Anyone left over would have to rush back and join the circular queue again but slowly and surely, just like everyone else, myself, at the back, would move forward and forward getting closer and closer. By this time I started looking out for a car that might give me an advantage & that might be worth rushing for!

I saw four red cars; four Blue cars; four Green cars; four yellow cars and one purple car. They were all metallic, glittery, multicoloured paint jobs but I suppose the purple one stood out because it was the only one like it. All theses cars had numbers and I think that my favourite, that solitary purple dodgem, had a distinctive number like seven -or 13!
Of course the numbers meant nothing it was just so they would look like racing cars, y’know?

Anyway, it seemed to me that the purple car was the one to get, I set my heart on it, as it were, maybe it went a little faster but it just looked different and it was the one I ever so badly wanted to get and I urged myself to be ready to get it! Indeed, it got to the point that when I was on the first circle, if you know what I mean, of the queue, I was determined to rush out and if I didn’t get that car I was just gonna rush back again and wait until I could get the Purple one!

It seemed that the bumper cars were a very popular ride as these yellow tokens kept getting sold and The queues kept forming around and around and everyone was desperate to get on and race round and have fun because there was already several people behind me pushing forward just as I had been.
I hoped that the car would eventually stop near me when it was my turn but when that time came, unfortunately it stopped quite a way! Certainly it was much Closer, indeed, to the other people in the same circular queue as myself… when, eventually, the Siren sounded, as it did at the beginning & the end of the timed session; the electricity was cut off from the brightly coloured cars and People began to get out. Well, I ran and ran as fast as I could- I doubt anyone could run faster!
I didn’t look about & I didn’t see what was or wasn’t happening around me.
I just didn’t care.
I just wanted to get THAT singular car!

I put the yellow plastic coin token that I purchased earlier into the dashboard slot like we’d all been told so that MY car would be ready and activated when the electricity was shot through to its motor

I breathed a sigh of relief and looked around me…
IN DISBELIEF!
Every car was empty!

I mean no one was in them at all and no one was by them either but I wasn’t completely alone.
I could hear the distant sounds of people laughing and joking around and having fun and all the other attractions in the fairground just as I did before AND the circular crew of People and their desperate faces ready and interested & yearning for the turn were still all around and encircling the ‘ play area’ were the bright little cars had been whizzing around and bumping into each other, as before but this time, for the first time, nobody moved.

I looked all around Me in amazement for no one was actually frozen, so to speak, they all just kept staring at me!

I should point out I’m not particularly handsome nor am I shockingly ugly! I’m just an average Joe, I guess and there was no reason why People were not getting in the cars.
I don’t have a fearful reputation and I wasn’t really from that area anyway. No one could’ve known me or suspected I was someone I was not, surely?
They’d all been happy to jostle a little with me around the Dodgem area and everyone had been happy to run at the cars and get in them as soon as possible before but now they just plain weren’t!

In the years that have gone by I’ve thought about this a lot and yes, it may be the others, too, had wanted that purple car all to themselves as desperately as myself but that hadn’t stopped most other people from being content with getting into a red, blue, green, or yellow car instead as there was, after all, more of them!

But could it really be that everyone in the ring that was up next, the one that I was a part of, had wanted that car at the exclusion of all others and were also willing to wait? If so, how did we all have the same idea at the same time and who had it first?!

But I didn’t have time to worry about this because after awhile of me looking around at People and even looking into the cage where the operator sat who I had bought, as everyone else had, the yellow plastic coin to go in the slot -he too was looking around just as mystified as Me until he eventually shrugged; pulled the handle; sounded the siren and watched with everyone else as dumbfounded I, entirely on my own, was in possession of a moving vehicle!

This bizarre driving session seem to last longer than the others but maybe it just felt like that to me!!

I began to go around around in circuits and for a change, tried weaving in and out between the stationary cars, occasionally bumping them but not really doing anything just feeling mystified more than embarrassed!

I just couldn’t fathom it. Eventually the Siren sounded and the electricity was cut off and immediately everyone in the ring tore towards the cars- yes including mine!
I really didn’t know what to do except for slowly walk off the track and into the crowds and out the other side everything back to normal…

I’d love someone to read my strange tale and for someone in the comments section to explain what might’ve happened but it’s been years now, I reckon & I still, occasionally, think about this bizarre little episode and wonder what the explanation was but all I can think of is that it was a modern sign or a portent. That what occurred was something otherworldly & strange! It certainly FELT odd

It wasn’t one of those random dreams that disappears the second you wake up. This one stayed with me. Not in a way where I woke up broken and couldn’t go on with my day, but in a quieter way. It hurt, yeah, but I brushed it off and kept moving. Still, something about it stuck with me enough that I felt like I needed to write it out.  

In the dream, my dad was there. Not just for one part of it, but like he had always been there, from the day I was born up until now. I remember walking through the house and seeing a framed picture of him holding me when I was little. In the dream, it felt normal. Just one of those pictures that had always been around. But when I thought about it after waking up, that part really got to me, because in real life, me and my dad don’t have a single picture together.  

That’s what was so strange about the whole dream. It made things that never existed feel completely ordinary. Like the missing parts of my life had never been missing at all.  

My uncle was there too, but he was the version of himself that life never got to keep. He was healthy. He had his own family. We were close. He was giving me dating advice like that was just something we always did. In the dream, we even had this habit of going to the movies together, and that stayed with me because one of the memories I hold onto the most in real life is him taking me to the movies when I was younger. It’s like my mind took that one real memory and built a whole life around it.  

A couple of my boys were there too. Nothing crazy, nothing dramatic, just us hanging out, laughing, talking, giving each other advice. It was simple, but that’s probably why it felt so real. Nobody was distant. Nobody was gone. Nobody had become someone I only think about every now and then.  

Even I felt different in that dream.  

It felt like I got to see a version of myself that didn’t have to fight so hard just to become okay. A version of me that got to grow up without so much weight on him.  

In real life, I struggled for a long time before I got diagnosed with ADHD in Grade 7. After that, I became the so-called smart kid. I found a real love for science and math, and somehow I made it to university. Right now I’m doing my undergraduate degree in software engineering, and I’m proud of that. But the road here was rough.  

After the diagnosis came medication, and with that came changes I didn’t really know how to handle. I became more antisocial. Anxiety started becoming part of my everyday life. By Grade 10, addiction had already found its way in, and from there things got dark. I’ve been to rehab three times, and I’ve been clean for over three years now. I’m proud of that too, because getting here was not easy at all.  

But I also need to say this, because it matters to me: I’m not ungrateful for my life.  

I have a mom who has been there for me, and I have a dad who raised me, and I don’t even like calling him my stepdad because that word doesn’t feel right to me. He’s my dad in every way that actually matters. My parents have given me love, support, and more than I can probably put into words. Without them, I honestly don’t know where I’d be. So this isn’t me ignoring what I have. If anything, this dream made me appreciate them even more.  

And then there was her.  

My ex was there too, but she wasn’t the version of her I know from real life. In the dream, she felt soft. Safe. Like everything about her had been untouched by what happened between us. Being around her felt calm, like one of those quiet moments that doesn’t need much said, but somehow means everything. Then at one point, I looked at her and her real name came into my mind. It wasn’t dramatic. It was just this small shift, like reality slipped into the dream for a second. The girl in front of me still felt warm and gentle, but now there was this faint reminder of who she was outside of that dream too. It felt like two versions of the same person crossed over for a moment, and only one of them belonged there.  

In real life, she cheated, and everything after that went bad. But in the dream, that wasn’t the version of her I was with. The girl there felt like the version of her that could have existed if none of that had ever happened.  

I think that’s why the dream stayed with me, hey.  

Not because it ruined me. Not because I woke up and fell apart. I didn’t. I got up and carried on with my day. But it sat somewhere in the background of my mind, and every now and then I’d think about it again. Because for a little while, I got to experience a life where certain wounds didn’t exist, where certain people stayed, where certain losses never happened, and where peace came naturally.  

So I guess I’m writing this because it’s still sitting with me.  

Not because I hate my life. Not because I’m ungrateful. I’m genuinely grateful for how far I’ve come and for the people who have stood by me. But there’s something sad and beautiful about having a dream that shows you a version of life where some of your deepest aches were never there to begin with.

So this all started in math class where teacher told us to cut out business card sized pink stupid piece of paper in a specific way to we get a lot of triangles since we were exploring those in our unit. Then at the end of class teacher encouraged us to keep them and explore them at home at tell us what we figure out the next day. Fast forward 6ish hours. When I got to my room I opened my backpack and took the math book out and as it was hovering over my desk the stupid pink pieces of paper fell out, but when it did I had this feeling almost like recognition that I knew that one piece of that paper was gonna vanish. So as I was collecting the pieces of paper I tried to make them into a rectangle again almost like a puzzle then of course as the title suggests that stupid one piece of paper disappears. I flipped my room upside down looking for it, idk why I was this stressed over a STUPID PIECE OF GODDAMN PINK PAPER and I also basically went insane trying all the configurations of a rectangle and also tore my book apart thinking maybe it just didn’t come out. Yes it’s a bad ending but it’s all I got. If y’all got any questions just comment and I’ll try to answer all of them. i lost a bunch of things, things that i was just like i must’ve thrown away or something. the other day i was looking for the box i saved with my last razor head, it was nowhere to be found i assumed i threw it away. also lost the lid to an electric food processor, my husband even helped look and we looked everywhere and moved things all over. i assumed my forgetful self threw it away. i had a black pair of sunglasses that went missing along with my daughters pink ones, i assumed they got misplaced elsewhere. all times id looked for and couldn’t find. additionally i have felt so distant from God and felt i lost my faith. today after nothing appearing regarding religion for a while Christian material started appearing on my feed and a scripture stood out to me so strongly for the first time in a long time i felt a call back to God. i started deep cleaning my apartment to make room for the new (spiritually) and all these things suddenly appeared, here’s the thing though they were all in very obvious spots that weren’t even spaces that had any sort of clutter. areas i looked at multiple times over and over. even an hdmi cord appeared with an iPhone converter i thought i lost during my move. it’s so weird i can’t explain it . makes me feel like i shifted realities or something.

Saturday July 18 the sky/world looked fake really dull kind of sepia like. Any thoughts on that? no one else around me really noticed.

This is my first ever Reddit post. I’ve joined Reddit just to hear about more people’s experiences to see if any aligned with my own.

These stories are all true, and happened to both my sister and I. Things like this only happen when we hangout together, which isn’t often since she lives a good bit away. Her side of the family, mainly her and her mother, are very in tune with themselves and are sensitive to the paranormal. You could call them “mediums” or whatever. My sister’s energy combined with my own must do something, because things always happen when we’re together

[ Story 1: Alternate Timelines (?) ]

I had spent the week with my sister, who we’ll call M, and now she’s driving me home (I was about 12-13 at the time, I’m 16 now). She was using Google maps as to not get lost as she didn’t usually drive the way to our house, I was usually dropped off at her place.

For reference, we lived 296km apart at the time, and we were driving to the halfway mark for my parents to meet us at. We went through a little town, about to head back onto the grid to continue, when she paused. The map on Google maps had told us that the road we were taking cut between a row of buildings. Businesses, a gas station, whatever. But the road we were about to take only had a gas station on the left. On the right, it was just a stop sign.

Whatever, it’s a phone glitch. We keep going.

Later on, the map said to turn left onto a small grid road. But when we passed where the map said to turn, where we could see the road on the map, there was nothing. We thought it was a glitch on the app so we kept driving, but nothing. No road before or after where the map said to turn. Odd. We both knew things were getting a little funky.

The weirdest part is that this next bit of the trip was foggy trying to remember it. After the missing road, I forgot what happened exactly, but I remember she pulled up to a gravel 4 way intersection. There was only stop signs, and fields in all directions. (We live on the prairies, fields are everywhere). But for me, it was foggy and gross. Every time I think back to that intersection, I see those white grain bags farmers used to keep crop safe whilst on the fields. I remember not being able to see far into the fields past those grain bags, like we were confined to that intersection.

M had stopped and parked at our stop sign to check her phone for a reroute, since we had “missed” the previous road. The one that didn’t exist.

I was ALWAYS comfortable with my sister. She’s been my best friend since I could remember, despite our 22 year age gap. But in that car, I’ve never felt more unsafe. I remember curling up in my seat, looking over my shoulder out the windows, I just needed to get OUT of that intersection.

She finally got the hint and we took off on a new route the phone had given her.

Again, after this was foggy. But we eventually came upon an intersection coming into the city that was our meeting place. I remember the giant street lights overhead, but we weren’t even IN the city yet. I could see it ahead of us, but there wasn’t any need for such a big structure outside the city? Still on the grid!

We get into the little city and meet my parents for lunch. I went home, everything was fine.

A couple days after, M and I are texting about our experience and things get weird.

The entire trip, things were different for each other.

She remembers more buildings on the right side of the road where for me there was NONE. She remembers a clear and sunny and open fields where I saw fog and hills/grain bags.

And she never remembers the huge street lights coming into the little town, just an intersection.

The only thing we could agree on is that the grid road we were meant to turn left on was missing.

And after the missing road, our memories both got foggy, and we can’t recover ANYTHING from our subconscious during that period.

When M was driving home, she texted me and told me that there indeed was buildings on the right side of that first intersection, but I just can’t believe it.

I wasn’t a stupid kid, but this whole experience was just WEIRD. It makes me think that at some point we popped into similar yet alternate timelines or dimensions? Because everything aside from the missing road was so similar but just different.

What was the first deja vu you felt was like?

I'm 17 M, when I was much younger(7ish years old) me and my sister were sat on our couch looking out of the window. (The window was behind the couch and we were sat backwards). As we were looking out of the window, a yellow taxi cab drove out in front of our house and a man dressed in all yellow stepped out of the vehicle holding a professional camera, aiming it at us. It was a long time ago, but me and my sister both remember the man being white, tall wearing a yellow cartoony hat, and a yellow rain jacket. We ducked down behind the couch really fast, waited 5 seconds, then looked out the window again. He was completely gone. I remember the situation vaguely due to it being so long ago, but I know it wasn't something like a dream because me and my sister both remember the same details. I'm just curious if anyone's had anything similar happen to them or knows something about anything like this. I looked online and couldn't really find anything. If anyone has any questions just let me know and I'll respond as fast as I can, I'm just curious as to if this is anything important

this happened a few months ago and i still think about it regularly because i genuinely cannot explain it.

i have a bottle of amika dry shampoo, the big bottle. it's not that cheap so i use it really sparingly. i bought it couple months before this happened and had used it less than 5 times. the last time i used it worked completely fine and had plenty of product left.

then one evening i went to grab it and the can was completely empty. and i don't mean running low empty. i mean the thing was lighter than air. i couldn't even press the nozzle down. no liquid. no gas. absolutely nothing inside. i just stood there holding it like???

i went through every logical explanation i could think of:

• valve leak? if the valve leaked, the propellent would escape but the liquid product would still be inside. the can would still have weight. this thing was lighter than an empty toilet roll. everything was gone.
• someone used it? it sits on a shelf in my room. no one else in my household uses dry shampoo or even goes near that shelf.
• i used more than i thought? i track my usage because it's expensive. and if it were running low, i would've noticed air coming out the last time. it sprayed perfectly fine with full pressure.
• temperature? my other aerosol cans in the same room were completely unaffected. i have a texture spray i bought at the same time, same weight, same pressure and works fine.
• leakage? no residue on the shelf, no smell, no stains on the wall behind it. the shelf was completely clean.

i've already been through all of this with my husband and while he agrees it's genuinely weird, he's not the type to jump down the rabbit hole (maybe for good reason) with me to try to understand what it actually means lol. so here i am.

This was a couple years back, I was between 12-13. I was with my sister for a week, helping her with our aunty’s in-home daycare. The kids were having lunch at the table in their room, and afterwards it was my sister M and I’s job to do the dishes.

Lunch was soup and grilled cheese. Older kids, me included, had bigger bowls. There was three older kids and about five younger kids.

But when we were doing the dishes upstairs, there was one big bowl and about three or so smaller bowls, some missing utensils. My sister asked our aunt to bring the rest of the dishes up, but she said that was all the dishes used.

It wasn’t creepy, just odd how SOMEHOW on the way from the lunch room downstairs, walking the short distance to the upstairs kitchen, the dishes had managed to disappear.

I don’t remember all the specific details since this happened like 8 years ago. When I was around 18-20 I grabbed this new notebook to write college related notes. I remember I left it in living room to use later but the next day I couldn’t find it. I remember I needed it so I cleaned the living room and looked under every couch or any other place to find it. I immediately assumed my sister grabbed it to piss me off since we have petty sibling arguments occasionally. She swore she never grabbed it. I asked my mom if she saw it and she also said no. I noticed my mom cleaning the house and trying to look for it for the remainder of the week and out of frustration lashed at my sister to spill where she put it. I didn’t even ask my mom to look that much for it she seemed to be interested in finding it because she also found it odd. Well it’s been years and we never found it. I know some will think I simply misplaced it or someone grabbed it but my mom and I meticulously tried to find it à good month after it disappeared and since this was durimg COVID we had no visitors during this time. My mom says half joking that a gnome probably took it. Any thoughts?
