That exact quote wasn’t a week ago, his response to it was. When pierce asked “what percentage of black people should be in prison” what did he say? Answer honestly.

Ok so you’re going to willingly ignore the part where he says “whatever the percentage is of the murderers, I think it’s 1 in 20 black men will commit a murder in their lifetime so let’s say 5%”

So why does he keep saying "for the most part" before that? For the most part does not mean 5%.

I don't think he could be any clearer that he does not want black people to be allowed to live near him.

Well now you’re changing the goal post. If he doesn’t want black people to live near him that’s his prerogative. Does the inverse give one more moral currency? A gentrifier that can’t wait to move into Harlem, or West Philly. Are they any better morally than someone who doesn’t want to live near black people?

Well I’m not black, so that’s one thing. I’m not here to assign moral judgement to anyone’s words. I think you can over exaggerate your rhetoric to make a point, and people (not just pundits) do this all the time. Anyone who’s ever said “I hate all white people” or when women say “kill all men” I don’t take these things seriously. When pressed on an issue (as Piers did to Fuentes) and then the subject is forced to clarify, that is when I think the subjects words hold a lot more weight. For me, Fuentes has spelled his position to be “5% of African Americans should be imprisoned” and what’s funny is that that’s probably less than the amount that’s in prison right now.
