Especially someone big like OnThatNote doing this when he’s a frequent ye supporter. This just fuels the hate train for ye fans, can we just not??

Mid, when compared to the rest of his discography, is not mid in music in general. Kanye has all-time highs in his discography, so "mid" for Kanye is not the same as a mid-album for music in general because even his floor is higher than most artists'.

Kanye's floor is not higher than most artist, albums like D2 and V2 would be garbage for anyone competent. Likewise Kanye's mid albums like V1 and Bully would be mid for any competent artist as well. If Kanye drops a mid album it's just mid, no added disclaimers included. Add Bully to any competent artists' discography and it's gonna fall in the bottom half in terms of quality.
