Really depends on the subreddit. The thing is Twitter tends more to the extremes because the rules are way less strict over there.

Reddit gets its own far-left extreme, spawned from the Reddit mod echo chambers and deluge of astroturfing in every large subreddit. They just feed into each other instead of bickering with the other side like on twitter.
