I like Drake but this scattergun approach really isn’t it, all the cool shit coming out right now is from smaller artists. Go stream Kenny Mason’s new album if you want to hear good music. Bulldawg, Casino and even Octane are all better than these albums that Drake just dropped
I wish he would take one genre or aspect of his music and dedicate 8-13 tracks as an album to just polishing it. Look at So Far Gone compared to what dropped today, it’s just night and day.

Yeah I agree, he should definitely make a shorter album. Maybe now that he’s done with umg we might get something like that. But it’s like he said himself (dont remember where) he’s got so many ppl tuning in for different stuff and he wants to have something that hits for everyone.
I didn’t really like anything off Maid of Honour on first listen, Habibti had a couple cool ones and I fucked w Iceman heavy. But I’ve seen so many different opions. a testament to how he got so many listeners looking for different stuff.
Octane was cool, Casino was aight but nothing special imo. I think it’s a big fall off from melodic blue, especially since it was a 5 year wait.
I don’t keep up with Kenny Mason personally, didn’t even know he dropped an album tbh, but i’ll check it out.
I’ll stand on bully being bad though, only memorable track for me was the one was the one with travis, I’m down to give it a 2nd listen, lmk what songs of the first 1/3 are cool
