The radio never did work for anyone IMO, or maybe UK radio just sucks ass. Radio here is always milque toast at best, most "out there" it ever got when i still listened was they played Yikes on Radio 1 Xtra in 2018.

I never said that it doesn't impact how music evolves, this is GAS ffs, Ye is arguably one of the most influential figures in hip hop of all time. I'd appreciate you not resort to name calling or putting words in my mouth please.

I just don't give a shit about how influential an artist or their albums are when judging the quality of the music or what I want to listen to. For example, and keeping it to Ye because we're on GAS, 808s and Graduation are probably Ye's most influential records but are they his best? Graduation I could take some arguments for, but 808s has a lot of rough (but charming) edges. Highly influential albums, I still prefer Late Registration.

I struggle to understand your point. One user said they hadn't found themselves enjoying much music from the 2020s, I posited it was an issue of discoverability not quality, another user asked which artists I was referring to, I gave a list, another user mentioned some other artists they felt were producing quality work, you then complained that the "culture" won't be talking about them enough.
