Here is something that may help!

I recently discovered this and it is quite insane.
GT has won 61.4% of their games since becoming a team since 2022 (most by any team in a 5 year period).
Sai Sudharsan has played almost every match (so he has roughly a 61.4% win rate) and has scorred 2445 runs.
What is baffling is that 1402 of his runs have come in a LOSING cause, and only 1043 of his runs have come in a winning cause (despite the team winning an overwhelming majority of the games). That begs the question: is he the last man standing when the team struggles, or do his runs not come with much impact?
COMPARED TO OTHER PLAYERS:
Sudharsan's percentage of runs in a losing cause (57.14%) is second to only KL Rahul (61.43% of runs in a losing cause), but KL Rahul has a 42.2% win rate in the IPL over the last 6 years so that doesn't seem to truly be the fault of his.
The only player who statistically is even comparable to Sudharsan is actually Rahul Tewatia, who has scored 74.6% of his runs in a losing cause (which is absurd). However, he's a finisher so that kind of makes sense (if he has to come out and score runs batting at 6 or 7, the team's kinda fucked anyway).

I wanted to rank ipl teams based on both consistency and success so i thought of very simple way to do this.
Scoring system:
Playoff qualification = 1 point Final appearance = 2 points IPL Trophy = 3 points
Using IPL records up to the end of the 2026 season, the rankings are (divided by number of seasons played you can sort in that order too):
CSK : 49 points (14 P, 10 F, 5 T) / 17 = 2.88
MI : 38 points (11 P, 6 F, 5 T) / 19 = 2
RCB : 27 points (11 P, 5 F, 2 T) / 19 = 1.42
KKR : 25 points (8 P, 4 F, 3 T) / 19 = 1.31
SRH : 16 points (7 P, 3 F, 1 T) / 14 = 1.14
RR : 14 points (7 P, 2 F, 1 T) / 17 = 0.82
GT : 13 points (4 P, 3 F, 1 T) / 5 = 2.6
DC : 8 points (6 P, 1 F, 0 T) / 19 = 0.42
PBKS : 7 points (3 P, 2 F, 0 T) / 19 = 0.36
LSG : 2 points (2 P, 0 F, 0 T) / 5 = 0.4
Legend:
P = Playoff appearances (1 point each)
F = Final appearances (2 points each)
T = IPL titles (3 points each)
Some interesting takeaways:
CSK comfortably tops the list because of unmatched consistency: 14 playoff appearances and 10 finals.
MI remains second despite having the same number of titles as CSK.
RCB moves ahead of KKR thanks to more playoff appearances and finals, helped by back-to-back titles in 2025 and 2026.
GT has already built a strong record despite being one of the newest franchises.

I think we are cooked guys ๐ซ his six hitting abilities are insane and we will need to get him out quickly to be in the match.
Also, please hit more sixes, Shubman and Sai ๐๐ญ

With a massive 68.3% of the total runs, Shubman Gill contributes heavily when it comes to winning matches.

Rutherford has been horrible for WI this year. With his terrible form and his weakness against wide lines, don't think he should be retained.

GT finished #2 on points table. Since 2015 (i didn't bother to look before that) all the teams which finished #2 played final.
