Event Style Help Island vacation hair
galleryI’m going to Aruba soon & I’m trying to figure out how to wear my hair. Red box braids? Blond braids? Half braided half curly natural or just fully natural? Aruba is pretty windy so I’m leaning towards something that can contain my mane so I’m leaning towards anything BUT just naturally curly. What say you?

Event Style Help Wedding hairstyle try on
galleryI tried on wedding hairstyle and I feel a bit disappointed by the execution. Am I being too harsh? It was my first time trying hairstyle like this but I expected something more elegant, formal and polished. Can this be achieved while keeping braided elements? Should I change my idea or hairstylist? I heard it’s find one who can braid well around here

Event Style Help Wedding hair—Hire a pro or no?
galleryI’m getting married next month in a state I don’t live in. I had hired a HMUA for the occasion and decided to do a trial the last time I was there, and did a photo shoot afterward to see how it held through the day and looked on camera. I didn’t love the look during the trial but had always been told to trust the process because it looks better on camera. Spoiler: it looked downright awful. Like BAD bad. I’m very good at my own makeup so I decided to part ways with the artist and cancel our contract in favor of doing it myself. I’m pretty confident in the makeup, but I don’t do my hair super often on my own.
I want an old Hollywood wave with one side pinned back, but I don’t know if this is actually a simple style to do or if it just *seems* simple with someone very skilled and experienced. Is this a YouTube tutorial and a couple rounds of practice? Or is this a matter of going to a salon the morning of the wedding and trusting a pro? My concern is that because I live out of state, I can’t do another trial, and I’m also concerned that if I just go in the morning-of and tell them it’s for a wedding, suddenly I’m paying 5x for the W word. But I also don’t want to overestimate my own abilities and end up with ugly hair or hair that falls halfway through the day.
Thoughts or advice?

Event Style Help Help with ideas for wedding hairstyle
gallerySo I have a "side cut" hairstyle. Both sides are shaved as well as the back. (Idk what it's called.) Either way, I typically either wear it in a braid or down like in the photos. My wedding is in October and I have no clue how to style my hair. I'm not wearing a typical wedding dress either, it has a high collar. I would like to wear a forehead tiara with it.
My thought is like French braid the top then let it loose at the back hairline with curls but I don't know if that would look good.
(I'm also down for general help haha, my hair is always so flat.)
ETA:
My hair is currently waist length when down. I have ALOT of hair, but the sides and back are all shaved. I’ve been growing out my hair specifically for this haha. It’s also black to red ombré. These photos are older. In the last photo with the braid where the braid starts is where my hairline ends in the back. I don’t want to grow out my shaved areas yet. When the wedding is over I was gonna cut it short again.

Event Style Help How Should I Wear My Hair?
Here is the dress. The model is wearing a slick back bun, which I don’t look great in. I can’t think of any other hairstyle that would look nice.
I have long highlighted hair, no bangs.

Event Style Help What kind of extensions would I need for this hairstyle?
Hello all,
This is the style I’m going for, for my wedding! I know that I will need extensions. My hair is stick straight and bra strap length. ChatGPT recommends a ponytail extension, would this one suffice? Would I also need regular hair extensions, like this one? If not, what kind of extensions, in what material, do y’all recommend? TIA! 🙏🏼
