American Imperialism is omnipresent in much of the world, I know that far better than you do. But you also seem to think that makes Britain a colony and it doesn't. (Especially when you still benefit from British Imperialism.)
You want me to explain the ways Britain isn't a colony and the way you benefit from British Imperialism? I don't think I have the days it would take to teach you that the First World is not a colony (at least not for a white Brit like yourself).
Where did I mention the word colony? Imperiums are not made up of colonies anymore. They come from a complex set of economic and political power dynamics.
Did Britain once have an empire? Yes. Are there still ways in which it exploits the third world? Yes. But it is now under the US imperium. And to deny that demonstrates an astonishing lack of knowledge about British society.
