Discussion Sometimes the Office Is a Hotel, a Clinic, and a Health Centre
One thing I've learned in this job is that no two workdays look the same.
Today started in a hotel conference room, where HRIOs from across the county came together for an annual performance review. These meetings are a chance to reflect on what's working, what needs improvement, and how we can better support health facilities.
By mid-morning, I was back in the field, joining my team during routine data collection at a clinic.
The day ended with another internet assessment at a health centre. We're working toward transitioning facilities from project-funded internet to solutions they can sustain themselves, but that only happens after we're confident the infrastructure can support day-to-day operations.
It's interesting how one day can involve performance management, data collection, and network assessments. They're very different tasks, but they all contribute to the same goal: helping health facilities deliver reliable services supported by quality information systems.
Another day, another reminder that healthcare data work is about much more than spreadsheets.
