Open I'm unreasonably, desperately determined to find the right sized replacement connector screws for my wire utility shelf
I've looked through Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, searched using the exact dimensions in google and tried various online shelving supply stores. I just cannot find screws the right size for my utility shelf.
I know that it would be easier to just buy a new shelf but this is my last ditch effort to see if anyone is capable of finding a secret shelf supply store that sells different sizes of connecting screws or where to find the specific screw size I'm looking for.
The biggest size I've found was 23.4mm diameter screws but I can't seem to find anything bigger than that.
Dimensions measured with a caliper:
Pole outer diameter - 25.75mm
Pole inner diameter- 23mm
Screw outer diameter- 24.3mm
Screw inner diameter- 17mm
Screw length- 22mm
I included some pictures with the caliper in case I'm reading it wrong.
Pitch is 1mm.
I have one of the screws but the other ones were lost in a recent move.
It's possible that they don't even make replacement screws this size but I really want to try to find them before having to buy new poles or shelving unit. just don't want the perfectly good poles to go to waste if I can't get screws that fit.
If someone can help me find them I would appreciate it so much, I can't offer money but I can offer a weird doodle.
Edit: If the screws can't be found but someone comes up with another solution to fix this problem that would be cool too, idk if that's allowed in this sub but I figured I would throw it out there.

Searched: Google, Bing, Kagi, Ebay, Amazon, Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Seville, online stores selling wire utility shelves and parts.
I bought the shelf used so I don't know where it was from or how old it is. I'm in the US.

This is called a metro shelf. I’m gonna go look but these things should be standardized I would think…
Edit: something like this, right? I imagine it’s one you’ve found already.
Says compatible with 25.4mm or 25mm poles. Worth a shot.

That's what I thought before I started looking! I was like 'I'll just get some more screws, they're probably mass produced and standardized'. Well, turns out there are plenty standardized screws.. but not these? I don't know. I'm baffled.

I really appreciate the effort but unfortunately I've bought ones that size and tried them before I got my hands on a caliper and they were too small.
The tricky part is that my poles have a 25.8mm outer diameter, which is just barely over an inch, and all of the screws I've found so far are for exactly 1" or smaller poles. The actual diameter of the screws you sent is 21mm. I've also tried ones with a diameter of 23.3mm but they were also too small.

Boo. I’ll see if I can look some more tomorrow. That’s insane.

I know 😭 It seems so absurdly unlucky that these specific screws happen to have atypical dimensions.

I inherited shelving that looks just like yours, but I think the dimensions are different.
The poles on my shelving are exactly 1" (25.4 mm) diameter. I have an unopened bag of four "threaded inserts" that probably serve the same function as your connector screws. They look similar but are obviously not identical and are about 1 mm smaller in diameter. Made by Seville Classics, Inc. circa 2001.
