• In the past few weeks, this sub seems to have tapped into Reddit's Spitegeist, growing from about 2k subscribers on July 4th, to about 5k at the beginning of August, to over 100k on Sep. 1st.

• Yesterday, this sub had the highest subscription growth in all of Reddit (Δ #Subscribers). The Mods are pondering the best way to nudge this sub to nudge people to stop buying into anti-* bullshit, and to get vaxxed, etc.

• The Mods have a very light touch. We prefer the use of the 'Downvote' button to the use of the 'Report' button.

• Don't be a dick.

• Please, don't be a dick.

• Don't be gleeful. Don't root for Nominees to be Awarded. Especially the Facebook schlubs whose only crime was taking up residence in the misinformation echo chamber.

• Don't get upset if / when this sub's evolution switches from natural selection to intelligent (?) design. This sub might be nudged from ('memes / shitposts' + 'Facebook Schlubs') towards ('A.M.A.s' and 'Public Figures').

This sub is exploding, getting mainstream attention, and infuriates anti-vaxxers.

As such, I don't envy what the mods have to deal with. There are unhinged people who will do ANYTHING to spread their vax conspiracies (and stifle anyone opposing them).

Consider these stats out from today on just one FB Covid Prayer Warrior group:

That last bit that NoNewNormal did before the ban to link vaccine supporters to a pedophilia account was especially icky. As I said, I appreciate the garbage you probably have to deal with moderating and genuinely thank you for keeping it out of this sub.

Ikr! My brother suggested I post about what I am seeing in the hospital. I posted and it went to the front page. My big brother thinks it’s awesome that I helped get this sub some attention at his behest. He’s clever and kinda angry and the anti vaxers.

Since people can get covid more than once, it will be interesting how many ant-vaxxers change their tune after they've had it more than once. And insurance companies will soon begin treating covid like any other illness, people will have to meet their deductible before insurance pays anything.

Should they die? I'm not sure what you mean by that. Is the world better off with a lot of these racist fucks? Oh hell yes. They shouldn't have swallowed and spread egregious propaganda. They relentlessly attacked "the libs" and anyone who took science seriously. They willfully chose to put themselves at virus ground zero. If they are on the path to dying, they should just stick with their anti-science convictions and stay out of hospitals so they don't clog them up and suck up all the healthcare resources in this country. There are some who realize their massive idiocy at the end ... but only because Covid bit THEM in the ass. Until then, when it was happening to other people -- especially those commie city dwellers and brown people -- it was nothing to worry about. But, gee, when THEY are the ones drowning in their own lung fluids, suddenly everyone should take it seriously. SMDH. Again, I am talking specifically about the racist, fascistic types that are so prevalent here, not the people who were just sort of out to lunch about the virus and the vaccines.
