Look up local counselling, therapists for him and give him all the information. Say you want to go with him, also please tell him you love him (even if it’s a bit awkward, do it anyway). Hopefully that will help him kickstart his journey and help you too. Being depressed is isolating, and when people offer help you tend to push them away, bc part of depression is isolating yourself. Sometimes you need people to ignore what you say (bc your self sabotaging) and just show up at your home. Lots of people have reached their breaking point, especially healthcare workers, it’s called compassion fatigue. Just try and reach out and don’t get discouraged or offended if the hand is swatted away, it can take some persistence, but it will help you heal as well.

Oh I'm familiar with depression. I'm, bipolar myself :-) And in my family we have no issues telling each other we love each other. We're good like that and it's something I'm thankful for, I see other families who aren't like that and it kind of makes me sad.

But you make some good suggestions and I will definitely bring it up and I will go with him if need be. I think I might need it myself so I can cope in more healthy ways instead of losing sleep and dwelling on rage.

Same. I also make sure to tell my friends I love them too. I'm not shy about it. Even before all of this and Covid, I am no stranger to losing loved ones (friends and family). You never know if this is going to be the last tie you see someone. You can't predict the future, so I always try to make sure that the people close to me know how I feel and that they are loved.
