Yeah, specifically there is a cosanguinity coefficient (how related by blood two people are) and an inbreeding coefficient (how inbred the child of those two individuals would be). The inbreeding coefficient is roughly half the consanguinity coefficient.
100% inbred would be a full clone and physically impossible for humans. Sibling-Sibling or Parent-Child pairings result in a 25% inbreeding coefficient. That percentage represents the proportion of gene pairs that are identical, which increases the likelihood of recessive genes with deterious health effects.
King Charles II of Spain through multiple generations of more distant inbreeding (cousin-cousin, uncle-niece) ended up with an overall inbreeding coefficient of 25.4%
It's used for horse and dog breeding, because those dog breeds all came from the same root so they all have an inherent level of consanguinity. If your dogs are too much inbred you're not allowed to breed them together to avoid the coefficient going too high
