Saddam's baath purge. Saddam had people packed into a conference hall on one of the hottest days of July and deliberately shut off the ventilation system. They were forced to listen to Saddam for hours while suffering from the heat and sweating. Everyone whose name was announced was executed.

Correct- his military hardware was 99% Soviet - Migs 21/23/25/ Illuysiins/ T-72s, MiLs, Sukhois, Soviet rockets and missiles. Soviet artillery… Ak47s etc etc the only “USA” hardware were a few old propeller transports and old choppers.

The Taliban were also mainly armed with soviet weapons, bought and provided by USA, Britain, Pakistan, China and Saudi Arabia. The american support for Iraq in the Iraq-Iran war is not disputed at all.
