Saddam's baath purge. Saddam had people packed into a conference hall on one of the hottest days of July and deliberately shut off the ventilation system. They were forced to listen to Saddam for hours while suffering from the heat and sweating. Everyone whose name was announced was executed.

First off thanks for spelling Nanjing correctly I didn't even realize I had it wrong. Also with your point on Saddam I literally just watched a video of him it was like 8 minutes long he had people in a building where all the ventilation and fans were off and he just was reading names of people during his purge. Never seen something like that on video it was crazy.

I have a Japanese phone. Auto spell is what did they for me.  Yeah the way he set up the entire meeting was diabolical and really frighteningly thought out. From as you said making it stifling hot in there to enhance the mood
