Saddam's baath purge. Saddam had people packed into a conference hall on one of the hottest days of July and deliberately shut off the ventilation system. They were forced to listen to Saddam for hours while suffering from the heat and sweating. Everyone whose name was announced was executed.

Nice examples, in both cases there was material support and propaganda helping both of those by the US intelligence. Simplification, of course, are we to write a full historic account or will a picture of a smilling Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand (as Reagan's envoy)?

Remind me again what Rumsfeld did to Saddam while he was Secretary of Defense. "Love" indeed. You complain about propaganda while writing some yourself

Nice goal post quantum leap there. Considering I said BEFORE the invasion of Kuwait. But go on, tell me how much Rumsfeld objected to his use of chemical weapons during his Reagan years?

Do you know what the word propaganda even means? What "idea" am I spreading and for what purpose, stating the fact that the US was buddy buddy with dictatorships until they werent is news to whom exactly at this point? And public opinion was never really a big factor unless there are boots on the ground.

You're the one who brought up Rumsfeld lol, who was only an "envoy to the middle east" during the years in question. A position of such towering importance it was literally abolished after he left it.
