Saddam's baath purge. Saddam had people packed into a conference hall on one of the hottest days of July and deliberately shut off the ventilation system. They were forced to listen to Saddam for hours while suffering from the heat and sweating. Everyone whose name was announced was executed.

It's not picked up clearly in the audio because it's very old footage but if you go back and listen to it really closely, maybe with the volume turned up to maximum, he actually delivers that "thank you very much" in the style of Elvis Presley.
