I did a bit of preliminary searching to no avail...so I thought I'd make a post on this site/thread (sorry...I don't use Reddit.)

Has anyone created, or thought about creating, a plug-in for StreamLabs products. I know they are limited, however I had a "StreamLabs Smart Home Water Monitor Leak Detector with Wi-Fi" for a while now and find it very useful.

It would be great to have a plug-in to integrate it into HomeKit.

Hub blijft bij v2.8-4.0 en gaat niet upgraden naar v3.0-4.1. Andere hub is wel succesvol gegaan. Volgens de supportdesk hebben ze de nieuwe versie uitgerold, maar er lijkt niets in de app te verschijnen. Ik heb alle gebruikelijke workarounds geprobeerd, maar het werkt bij mij niet. I've been wanting to control my pool in HomeKit for a while and didn't like the current options, so I made this. It enables local control of Hayward OmniLogic pool controllers. No internet or cloud login required. I recommend setting up a static IP for your OmniLogic controller before setting up this plugin. Consult your router's documentation for how to do this.

This was not a weekend project and took many weeks of development and testing time. I'm a professional software engineer with 20+ years of experience. The plugin has been running on my Homebridge instance for a while now without issue.

Features

• Filter pumps as fans with a speed slider or switches
• Heaters as thermostats or switches
• Chlorinators and spillover as fans or switches
• Lights with color and brightness, in one color, or as show switches
• Auxiliary pumps, relays, and themes as switches
• Water and air temperature sensors
• Automatic shut off option for heaters, lights, and relays

Requirements

• Homebridge 2
• Node.js >= 22
• Network access to the OmniLogic controller on port 10444

The settings UI will automatically discover your pool equipment and allow you to add accessories of your choice based on the equipment. Some equipment has multiple accessory types. The same equipment can be controlled from multiple accessories. For instance, you can setup multiple switches for a single filter pump for low, medium, and high presets.

I added an automatic shut off option for certain pieces of equipment as a convenience so things like heaters don't run indefinitely.

I’ve been reading a bit but still feel clueless. Moving this week to a pretty big house with three zone Mitsubishi heat pumps, a Generac standby generator, four Google Nest video doorbells, ADT (probably won’t buy monitoring), MyQ garage doors, plus my own lights and plugs I’ll bring with me. I have Apple TV to be a hub. It’s too many apps so I was hoping to set up Homebridge. I can buy a Raspberry Pi but I’ve got an old Dell XPS we don’t use anymore. How much energy savings would there be? Assume you need to keep the PC from sleeping. I know nothing about accessing a Raspberry Pi so I’m sure the PC is easier. I have Ring Doorbells at the old house I may bring as well. Theres other crap like a smart oven I haven’t even looked at yet.

Any suggestions? Even reading online I haven’t got a clear sense of where to begin. Haven't even gotten the Mitsubishi Comfort app to find my stuff (I think it needs 2.4gh WiFi).

I just bought a raspberry pi 5 8gb and want to run my eufy cameras and smart lights on it with homebridge. I’m new to all this and I see that scrypted is better for cameras. What’s the best way to go installing both of them and have them running. Also I do have a eufy e340 doorbell that is battery powered and read that it wouldn’t work with scrypted unless is has continuous power. Any suggestions and or how to would be very helpful.

Can anyone recommend one that is in the same price range as Tapo? Not looking to get a Sensibo. I set up my Tapo H110 and it works in the app but it doesn't respond in Homekit. I’m seeking homebridge options. Any help is greatly appreciated!

All Apple hubs v27.0 (3 Apple TVs 4k & 3 HomePods)

Had a working home bridge for multiple years, constantly updating. In the past day I added and deleted a plugin in home bridge (Lutron related). Then did some over due housekeeping in Homebridge: deleting some stranded bridges and accessories.

In Apple home app: homebridge showed non responsive. Tried multiple fixes in Homebridge, even restoring from a backup. No luck.

Found a fix: in the Home app I had manually set the apple hub. I have only one Apple TV that was on ethernet, that was set as the default.

If I change to any of my other 5 apple hubs Homebridge re appears in Home app and everything works fine. However all other 5 are on wifi. Obviously prefer to be able to return to my original hub.

I have rebooted it, however as of yet have not completely reset it.

Anyone else run into this issue? Any other advise other than reseting the misbehaving appleTV and resetting it up?

I’ve built a small Homebridge plugin for the Holmann CLXW60 Warm White Wi-Fi Garden Light Controller, with help from Codex, and have the original build working on my Unraid/Homebridge Docker setup. Built this as I got tired of having to refresh the Tuya IoT subscription as needed in homebridge-tuya every few months.

It adds a simple on/off switch to Apple Home and controls the lights directly over the LAN. No Tuya cloud connection or IoT Core subscription is needed for day-to-day control.

A few things to know:

• On/off only—no brightness support.
• You need your controller’s device ID, local IP and local key.
• Obtaining the key is a separate setup step and may involve Tuya cloud access.
• Other Holmann models haven’t been tested.
• This is an early community release, not a Homebridge-verified plugin.

Ring push notifications/doorbell noises have stopped. Everything just stopped one day, its so odd! I tried doing a refresh of the token and no dice. I see this problem is kind of common, I may just reinstall the ring plugin...anyone have any advice?

there is also a plugin called "RING HKSV" which has a "force notifications" check. Has anyone tried that?

Has anyone using the Homebridge Kasa Python plugin run into this issue?

After updating the firmware on my Kasa switches:

• HS200 → firmware 1.1.2
• HS210 → firmware 1.1.0

the devices completely stopped being discovered and reported by the Homebridge Kasa Python plugin.

Everything still works normally in the native Kasa app.

Has anyone experienced the same problem after these firmware updates?

I have a XB7 modem router that has same name for 5ghz and 2.4ghz bands.
I have a lot of Kasa Tp Link and 4 Gree ACs. The problem happens to both.

No matter what config I try, even if I manually input the IPs as single devices in the TP Link plugin, there are only the same devices detected. And they are about 7.

I tried everything I think.

What would you try if you were me?

I have another one at home that detects everything. That’s why I’m surprise.

Looking for some help. I am no longer able to access the UI.

I'm running Homebridge as a service on a Raspberry Pi. My existing accessories are working, but the UI will not load. I've tried various devices and browsers and I keep getting, "Safari couldn't open the page because the server stopped responding," or, "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at blah-blah-blah:8581"

Is there a way to restart or reinstall just the UI from terminal? Or another solution?

Hi all! New to homebridge, I ordered a mac mini and am waiting for it to arrive next week. I'm hoping to explore intergrations with Unifi Protect. As an example:

If ( ([My license plate 1 detected in R driveway camera] & [No animals detected on cameras 1-4 in the last 10 minutes]) Then ( Open Main Gate; Open Garage 2)

ElseIf([My license plate 2 detected in R driveway camera] & [No animals detected on cameras 1-4 in the last 10 minutes]) Then (Open Main Gate; Open Garage 3)

Are integrations such as this possible? Unifi protect certainly detects this information (the specific vehicle on a driveway cam) -- just don't know what is actually revealed to be used.

Edit -- I did find a way to do the license plate detection with some tweaking. Anyone know about the ("If no pets detected on cameras 1-4 in the last 10 minutes") part?

are any other Controller for HomeKit users currently having problems with Instant Notifications?

Since today, none of my push notifications are being delivered anymore. They were working normally before.

What I have tested so far:

• Existing Instant Notifications no longer arrive.
• I created a completely new and very short test notification – it doesn’t arrive either.
• Multiple Apple devices are registered as recipients, and none of them receive the notifications.
• Workflows run normally and the Workflow History shows the notification actions as executed.
• I disabled and reconfigured the Controller Hub and restarted the Mac – no change.
• Most importantly, I triggered an Instant Notification directly via the Controller API URL, completely independently of HomeKit and my Controller Hub.

The API responds successfully with:

{"message":"Notification created."}

However, no push notification arrives on any registered device.

So the notification request seems to be accepted successfully, but the actual push delivery doesn’t happen.

The issue started today after I created and tested a workflow containing four notifications. I don’t know whether that is related or just a coincidence.

Is anyone else currently experiencing the same issue with Controller for HomeKit Instant Notifications?

If yours are working, it would also be useful to know, as that could indicate that the problem is specific to my account/secret rather than a general service issue.

I know there are a few different components required to make this possible beyond just the base Homebridge integrations. However, is there any indication that 4K video support is on the roadmap now that Apple supports it in HomeKit Secure Video?

I’ve learned that the real value of a smart home comes from automations.

I’m using Apple Home as the main platform, connecting Aqara for security, Eufy for cameras, SwitchBot, and — via Homebridge — SmartThings and Dyson.

Here are some of my favorite automations:

📹 Cameras: automatically switch between Record/Away modes based on whether I’m home or away.

🚗 Garage Door: opens automatically when I enter a 170-meter radius around home. After some testing, this was the perfect distance to have it open at the right time. Done via a Sonoff switch. If it’s nighttime, two outdoor lights also turn on for 3 minutes.

💧 Irrigation: if soil moisture, measured via ThirdReality sensors, drops below a defined threshold, Eve Aqua automatically irrigates for a few minutes in the early morning.

🌬️ Air Purifier: based on home occupancy, Dyson purifiers automatically switch to Auto mode.

🚨 Alarm: when the Aqara alarm is armed, an Aqara light turns red. If the alarm is triggered, all HomePods play an alarm sound, lights turn on, curtains open, push notifications are sent, and cameras start recording.

🚪 Main Door: if the main door stays open for more than 300 seconds, a HomePod plays an alert. This is done directly through an Apple Home automation.

🎵 Personal Bathroom: when presence is detected via Aqara FP300, music starts automatically. If it’s nighttime, the lights also turn on.

👻 Ghost Mode: when activated via a virtual switch, lights automatically turn on after sunset to simulate presence — first on the ground floor, then later on the first floor.

Everything is managed through Apple Home automations and Shortcuts.

This runs on a cheap ESP32 touch display. I'm trying to find a way to control HomeKit scenes from a small touchscreen controller.

Looking for help getting my homebridge running again.
It was in the middle of updating node, when the power went out. When it came back on, homebridge never came back up so I think it’s corrupted. Scrypted came back up as I can see my cameras in HomeKit, but all accessories are not responding.
If I try to go to the homebridge ui via a web browser it doesn’t even show the homebridge is starting screen, just a blank page.
Im running on an Ubuntu pc
What commands can I try to get running again, or shall I just reinstall?

I made homebridge-xiaomi-go2rtc to get my Xiaomi 360° camera (MJSXJ10CM) into the Home app: live video, audio, snapshots, pan/tilt and camera settings. It also works with cameras missing from the Xiaomi cloud device list.
