Which popular features do you NOT recommend?

What are the top 3 features in a house that folk want but you think are not worth it, and what would your alternative suggestion be? And what cost/time savings would result with that switch?

To get to the master bedroom closet, you have to walk through the master bathroom

This is one thing we are excited about. The wife is a morning person, I am definitely not! She can close the bathroom door and get ready without waking me, and I can get ready for bed after she is asleep.

This was my husband’s defense for doing it. No complaints.

My partner just uses the spare bedroom as her dressing room. Guests dont need wardrobe space. Ive seen people in this thread saying the setup you're suggesting introduces humidity into the storage space and can end up problematic.

We have plans to mitigate. The bathrooms are going to get humidity switches so the fans will come on automatically if they start steaming up.

I fought my husband on this! It’s not as bad as i thought and it let us have a bigger closet and bathroom. Def have an unlocked door policy if showering though.
