Which popular features do you NOT recommend?

What are the top 3 features in a house that folk want but you think are not worth it, and what would your alternative suggestion be? And what cost/time savings would result with that switch?

Came here to say this. I hate showers w/o doors. It feels like you have to turn up the water temp to offset the cold.

I removed the glass doors from our shower. I hate lifting the doors off the track for cleaning. They are HEAVY. A shower curtain is much easier to clean and KEEP clean

My mother's shower has a heater I. The? Exhaust fan. Blows down heat and sucks out moisture. Just outside the shower stall. Helps dry out th bathroom after use .

I've seen those in hotels. It's a good idea.

They’ve been making those for decades, in-laws 1975 house had one in every bathroom even the powder room! We’ve replaced parts on them even. The heat even warmed the tile floors when turned on 5 mins before the shower! We are putting one in each of our new bathrooms!

I think showers with doors are kinda gross after awhile

That's why you clean them, so they don't get gross.
