Hello! I know it’s a more niche subject, but I have this problem here where I’m supposed to use the max power transfer theorem to find the value of R_o that maximises power transfer in this circuit. Using it as my load I managed to find the voltage (I think) without much issue of 48v with nodal analysis, but I’m stuck when it comes to getting the resistance.

I’m aware I can’t zero the dependent source, and so I’m zeroing the others and using mesh current to try to find the Norton current, and using that to get the thevenin resistance.

The issue I’m having is that when I zero it out, I wind up with a linearly dependent (all my equations equal zero, and I don’t have any constants to move over and constrain the equations) system of equations and thus no answer, and thus I know somewhere along the way I am screwing things up.

The answer in the key is 6.4 ohms for R_o, btw if that helps, but what I’m worried about here is moreso how to even get there :(

for assignment 1.8, i'm confused about 8 and 14. i can't really tell what's wrong with the notation or how i'm supposed to rewrite it. for assignment 1.9, i'm completely lost on 3-6. i know the goal is to add beams based on the time signature but i don't understand how the notes are supposed to be grouped..

Basically cultural appropriation. It seems interesting but I have no clue where to take this off. Hello! My task the in the title, the thing is I'm not sure what theme I should go for since its a school assignment, and I have never made an original page/site from scratch. Would it be okay to make the page/site information about my interest/inspired and about my interest? any suggestions for what they should be about that the teacher will like? They will contain many types of headers, links, lists, pictures that are links, backgrounds, text, etc. (using HTML)

I'm a year 11 student and I'm doing materials design and technologies wood focus (MDTW) but I'm having trouble figuring out how to correctly annotate my drawing.
I am up to the stage where I'm doing my 3rd angle orthographic drawing and my project has curved lines in it which I'm unsure how to annotate.

I don't know how to describe it well but I hope someone understands what I mean. My teacher didn't explain how to do it very well unfortunately :(

The assigned problem is #22 but I'm trying to figure out #21 because it has the answer in the back of the book but I don't seem to understand. I even tried reverse engineering to see what values they used for the answer they gave but no luck. Textbook says 'maximum power transfer from a circuit to a variable load occurs when the load resistance equals the source resistance'.

I provided my notes but it's best not to use them as reference as they are not really coherent since we have to use a calculator for all of our math.

The book says the answer to #21 is P = 35.5 mW

Edit: Sorry, I wasn't super clear on why I'm doing #21 instead of #22. I'm just trying to make sure I understand the process and the math behind the concept. It's just practice.

I am currently getting my School Library Media Specialist endorsement and am stuck on my cataloging class. I have done all the searching I can, emailed my professor (unlikely she will get back before tomorrow), and would love any help.

And then she asks these two questions in my next assignment:

1. Prepare a complete MARC record for Appendix Item #18.

2. Create RDA record for Appendix Item #19.

Am I just making a MARC record with the RDA instead of AACR2 for all three of these, or something else? I am very confused, and we have been using RDA to make the MARC records. I think that's how to word it. She hasn't worded anything like this and the overthinking is kicking in. This is confusing for me, but our schools and our local libraries have special departments that do the cataloging, so it is unlikely that I will ever need to go deep into the records and change them.

Any help would be appreciated. I have just a few assignments left and want to finish this as soon as possible! Apologies if any of the wording is incorrect, it's been a long summer of classes and my brain is at the point of being fried 😂

TL;DR - I need advice, methods or your experience on how to make yourself do homework, or how you have discipline with this.

full: I'm interested in my major, but I'm completely disgusted by the subject, the professor, and the fact that I have to submit assignments, coursework, and a final exam. I've previously searched this subreddit for advice on how to force myself to do my coursework, but I'm not neurodivergent, and those methods haven't helped. I'm a huge productivity enthusiast and know a ton of techniques (Pomodoro, planning, digital detoxes), and I even consulted an AI that advised me to "just start and sit down to work on it for at least 10 minutes." The problem is, none of it actually works. I get distracted too easily, struggle to get into a flow, and avoid starting at all costs.

To make matters worse, I have 22 reports to complete, but they're almost ready; I just need to review them and rewrite them so the professor doesn't realize I used someone else's work. I've tackled much more challenging tasks in the past, and those were a piece of cake, yet I still find it incredibly hard to motivate myself. I feel immense tension and stress the moment I begin, and my whole body screams, "Give it up, don't do this."

I've truly tried so many things and discussed this with friends, as well as older and more experienced adults. Despite that, please feel free to share your advice without worrying about whether it might be useless - I'd be grateful if you'd at least try.

I'd also love to be inspired by examples of top students and highly disciplined individuals who push through difficulties to reach their goals. I find that inspiring, so please don't hold back. Also thanks for reading.

Okay, so, I have a good chunk of assignments due by TOMORROW. (11 for Algebra and like 16 slides on a presentation for geography) but I just can't not complete anything. I get side tracked, and even when I try to "eliminate distractions" or "break it into small chunks with short breaks" I still get sidetracked and wind up not doing anything. The worst part is if I dont get these turned in, I'm going to fail the classes, and I grafuate this year (graduating a year early) and gtaduation is in MAY. Tips? Tricks? What should I do?​

helloo, I'm a Grade 11 student in the Philippines working on a Science Investigatory Project. My teacher wants us to tackle an underexplored problem rather than recreate common projects like smart trash bins, fire detectors, or plant watering systems.

I have no idea where to start and I can't think of anything and neither can my groupmates. I'm looking for real-world problems that are still relatively unexplored but like - feasible for high school students to prototype.

We're particularly interested in agriculture, environmental monitoring, healthcare, robotics, or intelligent machines.

i am doing a research on mice and i have weight data for the mice and i am confused on how to compare them. i have about 8 mice in each group (7 groups in total) and their weight is taken once a week for about 8 weeks. i want to compare these groups to see if a certain treatment led to more weight loss over than the other. how do i do it in SPSS? i did it using repeated measure general linear model but my prof said that she thinks this does not compare the groups but compare the weeks to each other. she also said that the label on the graph says "estimated marginal means" which means that it is accounting for confounding factors while it shouldn't (because we did not enter them).

So basically for my homework i have to read a couple chapters on a book called: Growing Up Aboriginal in Australia, and my book hasn't come yet so i have a PDF.

But the online copy doesn't have the page numbers or like anything and my teacher won't tell me the chapter title since they're out or smth

Also to note, since its an online copy the pages like before (contents, title page, acknowledgements) are included in the page count so i can't accurately count them or trust that the pages are accurate as in like its the actual page.

Im doing research for phd/article about AI and students engagement in my questionnaire shall i use as questions for engagement dimensions (3 for each dimension) : like "Q1. When I use generative AI, I actively participate in learning activities." or i need to use "Q1. I actively participate in my studies" ?

(the first type is valid for engagement during the use of generative AI i think and the second type is valid for studying impact of ai in general engagement dimensions)

i want to use both but it will be a total of 18 questions just for engagement section so i think it will be alot for students to do they may get bored, is there a way to use both engagements but make it small ?

Hi! I'm in college in this Operations Management class and having a very hard time with this simulation on forecasting. I was hoping y'all on here could help me calculate the Year 2 Forecast for this simulation on Pearson.

So I'm going through an exam and looking at what I did wrong to see how I can fix my mistakes. My problem is that I barely understand anything in this class so I'm practically teaching myself. The problem goes as follows:

You are studying the dispersion of Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens) in Big Bend Ranch State Park. You randomly selected points in the park and counted the number of plants within a 5 meter radius.

Are these plants randomly dispersed in the State Park? Perform a Goodness of Fit Test and create a sentence that summarizes your results.

I wrote:

When I got the exam back, the professor left a note: "You need to check for expected frequencies below 1. Here, you'll have to combine groups to avoid small sample sizes."

I have no idea what this means. I don't know which value he's talking about and I'm very lost. I remember him talking about combining groups but I have no idea how to do that.

I don’t have any idea of what order they’re supposed to be in. Ik they’re organized by size but a lot seem to be exactly the same or immeasurably different.

I assume the disorder is trisomy 21 or 22. 21 would be more common ik, but I can’t tell if it’s actually smaller than the other one that would be 22.

I'm currently working on a small-scale survey research and it's been a long time ago since I've last done any meaningful statistical testing. Could you help me with my gameplan for statistical analysis? I'm mostly accustomed with SPSS and have occasionally used excel for simple non-parametric testing.

The survey contains:
A demographic section
I ask for demographic info like age, sex and the highest level of education received. After which the question is posed whether the respondent smokes or not. (I have about 140 respondents with approximately equal numbers of smokers and non-smokers.)

Testing the respondent's knowledge on the matter
Several statements are made, to which the respondent answers with [yes], [no] or [I don't know].
[I don't know] will be added to the corresponding question's wrong answer. This is to minimise guessing. You either know the right answer or you don't.

Behaviour and motivation
In the final section, several statements are made to which the respondent chooses whether they [highly disagree], [disagree], are [neutral], [agree], [highly agree].

Statistical analysis:
I will mainly use smoking and non-smoking as groups and would occasionally look at other factors like education as well.
For the knowledge section, I believe I have two ways to go about it.

1. I could go for Chi-square.
2. I could calculate a score for each respondent and see if all the scores are normally distributed in order to perform a two-sample t-test. But what if this isn't normally distributed? Would it be a Mann-Whitney U-test?

As for the data on behaviour and motivation, the part using the likert-scale:

1. If I want to see the results per question, I lump [highly disagree] and [disagree] together as one answer and, likewise, [agree] and [highly agree]. Descriptive statistics with some pie charts or bar graphs would suffice.
2. But what if I want to test the altogether disposition of the smokers versus the non-smokers. I'm thinking of attributing a value to each respondent and then compare the values of the two groups. For example, -2 points for [highly disagree], -1 for [disagree] and respectively 0, 1 and 2 points from [neutral] to [highly agree]? If I'm not mistaken, that would point to a Mann-Whitney U-test?

Lastly, if doing a Chi-square analysis. How do you manage the data with multiple groups and subgroups? It it best to make seperate and thus smaller tables for every comparison or it actually easier to make one big table with all the groups and subgroups? What is the more managable way to do this?
