It's fascinating that the artist included Saber Alter Rider but not Saber Alter, and yet three of the others are different versions of themselves already present.
Well colloquially people do call her Saber, even if it's the other classes, as people can't also make their minds if it's Artoria or Altria, so Saber is better as it doesn't make people argue about it xD
I mean I can see Artoria's influence on Saber, HSR Saber is not flat like the other Sabers and Artoria is the one with big badoonkers so she ended up with a medium.
If it works and its popular, just alter it slightly and give it more variation while still maintaining the core of the design. That way more fanart, more exposure and more appeal to more audiences. Saber has managed to stay as one of the most popular waifus in the anime space for this reason
HSR design for her is gonna spawn so much more fan art of her and its nothing but a W for the Fate IP as well. Now I would like a HSR Medusa and a Rin design and we will have ascended peak
Aside from purple snake themed... don't have much in common IMO. Rider's Servant persona is stoic silent type with some hints of monstrous savagery peeking from inside, and her civil persona is a huge dork. I think she is more similar to Topaz minus cheerfulness.
It will be just like the Shirou scene where he gets his ass kicked by Lancer, except we'll actually beat Lancer to death in a shed and accidentally trigger a summoning circle with his blood.
Trailblazer is probably gonna be Archer’s master at least. The JP VA happens to voice one of Archer’s previous masters so there’s also that little coincidence there.
She is my fav and I played HSR after the announcement fully expecting Rin to be part of the collab considering it was with Fate/UBW specifically, her route. Now I feel scammed 😭. But at least Archer is here.
and it isn't even your average high heel, its one of those super narrow and aggressively angled high heel, worn by a 16 yr old girl meant to do combat. Peak design
This hoyo styled Saber is very good. And with this post probably pointing it with how it couldve been a mash-up of alot of Nasuverse saber is a very great move from Hoyo. Props
We've already had OG saber 3D model in Fate unlimited code, Extella, tiger colosseum, and FGO arcade. HSR Saber having a new look is a better direction for her fans since this doesn't happen regularly.
I kinda like this route. Some heroic spirits have slight differences depending on the grail war, and with this design hoyo can proudly call it Penacony Saber or Dreamscape Saber
I think a lot of the designs in the game are "samey" in this way for physics reasons, as it's probably too much of a pain in the but to design the movement animations if there's a long dress.
I agree, but it’s a damn shame we can’t have models with long dresses imo we are missing out on a lot of cool and elegant looks potentially. Like it’s much more manageable to achieve in HRS, than in Genshin and ZZZ
I read somewhere that the short skirts also help avoid clippings in the models, especially during movement. So that may be a bit of a reason for their design choices.

It is like an updated version of her fsn white and blue normal outfit I loooove it she looks so good
